In early Battlefield 2 videos you can see there are helmets/weapons flying out of the characters hands (The ragdoll also looks very realistic in those videos, you should take a look at them too) and I think that would be a cool addition to PR.
It's been possible in alpha/beta, so if it's still possible then why not add this feature?
This is from the fallingWeapons.con file, located in the FallingKitsParts folder, which includes a USMC & MEC Helmet.

if you watch the intro video to vBF2 you can see the same weapon drop, all the effects (explosions trails etc) appear to be the same as currently ingame so it does appear to have been done ingame.

Is it possible that the dropped helmet line is the one making it so the enemy picking up the kit gets the opposing faction's helmet?
Cause I always thought that was stupid and dangerous.
I want those bullet holes!

If that's the case I want it GONE. There's absolutely no reason that an American would switch weapons with an insurgent and in turn put on his towel thingy. WTF?

Here we go again.
For the last time, in case people missed it the first time -
Just to clarify, we had to make a lot of design considerations before going ahead with this change, and it seems like this is going to stay. That is.. until every single kit geometry for every faction is redone from scratch.
However in response to the OP's suggestion, SHOULD we have every single kit geometry done up from scratch, it would be possible to have any sort of model or equipment left behind rather than just bags.

Yeah.. however there's quite a few things we need to sort out with regards to current player model and kit model workflows.. especially since we're trying to make things future-proof. Liase with Vaiski and maybe he has some jobs for you to tackle.
