Can we get the lag-bikes fixed?
There are 2 things that should be fixed

1. Laggy driving. The screen shakes (or oscillates) wildly, making it hard to not get sick.

2. Remove the leaning controls.
I play with a low mouse sensivity and it is very difficult to lean the bike correctly while driving. This leaning mechanism does not add to realism. It just makes it harder. And the game does not get more realistic simply by makign something very difficult. Now before someone says that I should learn it and that it is about "realism".

It is not.


In Reality, any 5 year old learns how to keep balance on a bike. Yet in this game it is almost not possible to drive straight with a bike even though one I can easily fly a helicopter, jet or drive a tank. So why can any newb use military hardware woth millions of $ and not be able to hold balance on a dirtbike?

Also this system completely defeats the bikes purpose to drive over difficult terrain. From what I have seen, a dirtbike should be able to cross off-road terrain much easier than a Car or even a tank. Instead it is almost not possible to drive safely down the road, let alone drive around a curve.

The leaning mechanism was introduced quite recently due to the piss poor handleing of the bikes originally. I prefer it, not everyone does, but it is more realistic as it allows you to turn much more easily instead of forcing the bike to spin out of control if you try to take even a gentle turn.

Why does every other game on this world get bikes working reasonably (BF2 xpack too). I mean GTA4 does not have special leaning control either. And this leaning mechanism DETRACTS from realism. Because it makes things too difficult. Just look at Operation Archer. No one touches the dirtbikes ,even if it means walking a 1km to the fight.

Maybe they could be programed as if they have 4 wheels, so they handle like a fav or whatever, while maintaining the current model. The only problem I can see is maybe the hitbox would have to extend out past the actual model.

I'm sure they're aware of the problems some people have had with them by now, and I think they'll be attended to, the handling is good when you get used to it, I'm not great at it still but neither am I a master of jets or helis yet, they are all things that should require a little practise. Just keep your speed down a little till you get used to it more.

Anyway you can't compare a 5 year old riding a push bike (pedal bike) to a 5 year old revving the tits off a motocross bike, one is obviously a bit harder then the other, you wouldn't say that walking across a plank is as easy as keeping your balance on a tightrope.

Was using one yesterday for a little bit, i actually found them pretty easy to drive.

If you can fly well, you can probably drive a bike well.

Riding a motorbike is surely MUCH easier than flying a helicopter. And yet I can fly helicopter easily in this game. If the bike is harder to use than expensive military hardware then there is a design issue on the game, not the player.

From a realism point of view the dirtbikes are rediculous. Doing full speed turns with angles <90°, leaning below 45° while not moving and so on.

There have been multiple threads about this, the devs know about it, even though imo it's a big improvement already.
