I posted this in the car bomb thread in the feedback forum.

I think there should be arty in the back of the car, I mean most vbied's have arty shells in the trunk or backseat... It seems more appropriate than a single pack of C4. If arty is not an option, the DEV's should put a barrel or two of Ammonium Nitrate in there. This mod is about realism. In reality would a terrorist have a pack of C4 sitting beside him? No.

As for the bomb truck, do terrorists drive semi's around with a 500lb bomb strapped to the back? No. I think the DEV's should take it out and put more explosives (arty, barrels, etc.) in the cars and limit the number of cars.

The vehicles I am hoping for most are the van and the fuel truck. As I said before with the semi with the bomb on the truck and the car with the C4 pack, they are not realistic enough in my eyes to be in a reality mod. The van could have the same explosion as the C4 and the truck could have the same explosion as Big Red. Or, the van could have a slightly bigger explosion than the car and the truck could have a bigger explosion effect but have the same damage radius.

Thoughts?

some other vehicles would be nice because every one like variety, but some one would need to make a model for them all which is the time consuming part.

It would be nice to see more variety so you don't always know if you have a bomb car coming at you or just a normal civi car. Of course I imagine that that would just lead to everyone blowing up every single car.

I was thinking this could be implemented in 1.0 or something.

well atm people blow up every car they see, since theres no civi penality if they are in the car, and by destroying the car you withhold transport from the insurgents.

more variety would be nice for aesthetic reasons, wouldn't affect gameplay that much tbh though.

arty is an option, it looks nice too...



and for big red...

The arty shells should be a little bit bigger for the red car,it doesnt really give you that feeling of an arty that size blowing up a car. The new big red would be nice.

even technicals should have a bomb [however weaker then arty shell, maybe c4]

and the Current Big Red is not realistic with the attached shell/missile/bomb

But leave the explosives on the backseat so you'll know it's a bomb car

I don't like the look of the arty-shells in the red car at all, however it's better than the C4.
Frankly I think someone with the time and dedication, should make a new pack-of-explosives to have a in the cars, maybe just a crate with a blanket over or at least something realistic?
It doesn't need to scream "I go boom" imo. People will recognize it when they look in the backseat anyway.

Well, there are a few new civilian cars and vehicles currently being modelled .. So I wouldn't worry too much.
But I definitely agree that the bomb behind the Big-red is just reall ... lol.

These have been suggested before, complete with ATF chart, I'm afraid; we are working on it, though. If you have enough energy to research the suggestion before making it, you can take the extra minute and a half to see if it's been suggested here, too.
