I've looked in several places but the answer is not clear: do you only need core BF2 to play this? My friend is interested but isn't sure whether to get regular BF2 or the BF2 "Complete Collection" with the expansion packs.

only original bf2 patched to 1.41 ofc . dont need anything like SF pack or any other stuff.

you can have the regular Bf2 and play Project Reality
