Why dont PR put in a SMG,i never seen that here before.

erm... MP5, AK-74u?

There are SMG's in some of the crewman kits (Chechen and MEC, iirc). For other things than operating in closed space and self defense, there is no need for SMG's in an army - Their range and power are too limited. (The short AK is still a carbine imo, as it's not firing pistol rounds)

Name something that could use an SMG and maybe they will put it in,there is no army in PR that uses smg's on a regular basis so it would not be realistic

The only real use a SMG could be used for is a crewman kit but most armies equip them with just small carbines anyway.

We already have the PPSH, Skorpion, MP5, AK74SU, and the QBZ95B. I'm sure I'm missing one too!

like already stated- the ak74 is still a carbine. and why would we need an army with only smgs? They will get massacred medium/ long ranges

Yup you forgot the HK53A that the mec crewmen use, Looks like op should have actually played the game once before suggesting.

MEC crewmen actually use the MP5, the HK53 was in use with their spec ops kit until it was removed.

Even then, the HK53 is a carbine, firing the 5.56x45mm NATO rifle round.


The SMGs in PR are the Skorpion, the PPSH, and the MP5.

Carbines in PR are the M4, HK53 (no longer in use), the AKS-74u, and a QBZ varient which I cannot remember


SMGs are not as common in many modern armies as people would think. Even tank crews are issued carbines (firing rifle rounds). I think there may be a few UZIs floating around in Israel, but they are not standard issue any more.

H&K MP5 is in the MEC Crewman kit, and the PPSh-41 and Skorpion are also in game. You're just not using the right kits.

SMGs are becoming rarer on the front lines because assault carbines (classified as selective fire weapons that fire an intermediate sized rifle cartridge from a barrel of less than 16 inches) are filling their role.

Locked for resuggestion and because they are already in-game where they should be.
