The New British Model

I just had a couple of suggestions (I hope they aren't too late or in the wrong place)-

I think the arms need to be a little bit shorter, and the midsection a little taller. The guy looks a little disproportionate.

Just my $0.02, however it still looks great other than those minor things I noticed (IMO)

i have to agree. the ankle or the boot looks too fat. the bott should be shruk and the torso is a bit small. the legs should be a bit skinnier or longer i think.

also the width of the two legs apart is more than the shoulder!!

the legs should be put closer together, unless the model has it spread apart. than that would make sense

archenemy. from the reference you posted and from my keen knowledge of body proportions :P i think the textured model should have a longer leg and a bigger head.

Yes yes, but should all of them have helmets.

i've seen news photos of british troops and i have actually seen many of those guys with the straps on their head. i think it's a radio, but i guess the soldiers should be limited to a realisitc amount of variations. with that said, i guess there's room for non helmeted players.

But should they take different amounts of damage to the head... YES

but what would be the advantage of not having a helmet then? i dont think you can move faster with or without helmet. but maybe a longer sprinting time? since less heat and more air to the head will result in more energy? i don't know. (and that's if they actually want stamina to be implemented)

i guess helmet can protect against shrapnel. maybe less damage from a grenade or any explosion in general.

if you mean that the helmet can stop a bullet, then i dont know. as long as the bullet that is stopped actually hits the helmet instead of the face then i guess it's good.

Helmets can stop full on AK rounds

The major problem with helmets is your vision, it is of course slower to turn your head with a helmet on, and you cant turn it as far as you could without a helmet... however, berets are normally used when doing humanitarian work or minor ops... could be worth bringing in those maroon berets for our marines, or the silver/gray ones for SAS squads.

For clarification:

With Helmet, will be our UK Rifleman

W/O Helmet, will be our UK Sniper (i.e. http://img134.exs.cx/img134/550/sniper.jpg )
