Hey guys I was wondering if anyone can give me some tips on how to use this like when to fire and stuff. I'm not sure if I should just fire right when I lock on or wait till they deploy their flares or what. I'm not having to much luck with it, missile always goes wild. Thanks.

Firstly, with the handhelp AA (Manpad), don't bother trying it against jets as it won't do jack all. As soon as you get a lock fire straight away, the pilot of the aircraft won't get a lock tone till half a second after firing.

Fire straight away, fire when the aircraft is heading towards or away from you (away is best really), medium distance is best.

lock on fire then break lock so the missle doesn't lock onto flares.

i say fire straight away..as soon as you get the lock on tone, else you wait 4 the flares to go and by that time they're gone

are you saying its impossible to hit a jet or it just wont destroy it? because ive hit many jets with the stingers and while it doesnt always destroy them it does get them off my back for a while since they are hurting and usually need to head back to base for repairs

Fire the moment you get a lock, and hope your internet connection is better than his. He can't flare the missles away once it's launched afaik, but flaring will always break a lock if you haven't fired yet.

It can really scare the **** out of a jet even if you don't kill it. Jets are not easy to hit with stingers but it does occasionally happen.

the slower ones like a10s and su25s are easier to hit, especially since they are often in dives and firing a stinger at it may actually end up making it crash into the ground lol
