New hummer! 'Baby MRAP' Coming to service!

A new hummer is coming to service its called the MRAP and its IED resistant and RPG resistant. This would be a great addition to the USMC and US Army. Although it has stabillity issues (It flips like a jeep) it is still good and stabillity is going to be fixed in the
next version with a wider base and more weight at the bottom. Heres a link and some new pics! I suggest this for the next PR version!

It was hit by a large IED all crew survived! (This is a older version)

Here is the brandnew upgraded and widened (fixed stability issues) MRAP called the "Baby MRAP" This one is going to be scheduled to be the militarys main vehicle (replaces the hummer) for transport and urban defences!
I hope to see it in PR!

Here's the weird thing, You find references of it in the Military Information and General Discussion thread, but it's never
actually been suggested. At least, not that I could find...

Start modeling, coding and so on. Except being cool and so on I dont see the benefits this would have except a new model. How would you say the new cars properties would have in hitpoints, armor and speed would it really be "that" of a change?

The cars weight and underarmor are designed to take large IED's and is bullet proof.
Its gunner is controlled from the inside of the vehicle and it repells RPG's. Even the windows repell RPG's I don't know modeling that much but im hoping somone can take it into consideration. This is designed to handle the upcoming war in Afganistain. Afganistain'
s terrian is very rugged and hummers just dont have the ground clearance and armor it needs against attacks. This on the other hand is higher has the same amount of stability if not better than the hummer. Its hight is needed for its climbing of rocky and watery mountainous terrians where Taliban and what not hides. The hitpoints or weakest spots would be the front and the wheels maybe the windows also. Everything else is protected.
So, since were moving our war to Afganistain were gonna need the equipment for that. This is the next generation of hummers and armored vehicles! It is scheduled for service in mid to late 2009!

PR has too few modelers and too little time. Hell, Cheesemans Up Armored Humvee has been "In the works" for years (slight exaggeration). If you'd like this project to go ahead quicker, modeling it yourself would probably be the best way. You can find tutorials in the Community Mods section of the forums.

Still this is imo to weak points to answer for all the man hours that will go down making it. This can also be easily coded in the uparmored hummer and in most cases it wont benefit much with the climbing and so on.
EDIT: And can you also tell me how your gonna portrait how it will substain more RPG's sure hell Idk how you should portrait that in a good way. The insurgents are just people who wants to have fun not having to spam RPG's on a car and getting tired because the blufor has so much shiny toys. Surely this vehicle will most problibly just give a better survival rate for the guys inside in RL not really substain an IED and drive off, PR afaik cant do that either the vehicle is down and its passengers or its not down.
And climb rate afaik isnt good in any vehicle because bf2 dosent portray tires on ground to good in hills especially.
Still it would be cool, but the point cool cant defend how many hours it takes to make it.

You mean the previous visual aid, right? Not just the statement?
Anyways, Tirak is right, though, that this is a genuine suggestion, but that it still requires modeling and coding, and textures. Al of which should be lower priority. Why should one without previous interests be more concerned with updating the coalition to the newest hot-off-the-line product, while teams like China still lack any non-BF2 models, and have resorted to simply taking most out?
However, if you personally want to contribute this and hone on modeling skills, go ahead and try it out. I'm not saying this wouldn't be a good asset to include in the mod, I'm simply saying that there are higher priorities for the already occupied DEVs, and if you really want it included you should try to contribute it yourself.

I'm posting first AGAINST here.
With BF2 engine this could never be simulated correctly isn't it? Just as I said in last humvee improvement thread, If this vehicle is introduced to PR this will be IED 'proof' RPG 'absorbing' Rifle ballistic 'ultra-proof' thing instead of vehicle get destroyed but crew survives kinda thing.
If you want 'real' RPG resistant vehicle you got one know. Current Humvee vs RPG is pretty much it with capability of this engine. 1 hit = smoking 2 hit = boom.

Hate to be a moany old person here but is it possible we get the first picture removed or changed to a different one? As you can clearly see that is a recent bomb and there is a rather large puddle of blood which is kinda disrespectful for the guy who just got killed to be in a picture of previous humvees.

Your right it will take hours to complete im gonna look up how to design models i have a 2300 page bible on model making and codes for gaming. IED can disable it like when a tanks tracks are blown off but the thing is that the engine and things like that in bf2 aren't that advanced to take on specific hitpoints if I'm wrong. When the vehicle is down its weight and asorbant material will keep the people inside still safe from rpg attacks depending on where its hit. The weak points i am for in this project I'm going to attempt are gonna be the Windows, Main gun, Rims and Wheels, Front Engine cover (The hood is very armored my father has worked on another model almost like it), and Filtration points. It will not be resistant to AT round even know its designed to substain atleast one it wouldn't be fair for all the other vehicles in PR it would be cool though if we make a beta of this model with a team of people working together to make it right.
Another one of my thoughts is i would be cool if PR switched to using the Unreal engine for better physics and graphics. But thats ALOT of work its like having to remake PR all over again.
