So I was wondering if it would be possible to impliment the hunter/killer system, the latest generations of tanks are fitted with?

Either you don't know what you are talking about or you suggest something that might be beyond BF2 engine.
The so called "hunter-killer" term means that while the gunner engages any given target, the leader of the vehicle scans for a new one. Once engagement is complete (target is destroyed/incapacitated) the gunner can then immidiately move to the next target, already identified and fixed (position) by the commander of the vehicle.
This is already possible within the PR. It takes a bit of training and good comms to make it happen perfectly well. However, if you suggest that the fire-control computer steps in (you, as commander of the vehicle could "lase" a target ready for the gunner to immidiately to shift gun alignment to the designated target, you might be asking something that is beoynd the game engine.
It would be realistic addition (considering the latest advancements in in technology), but would bring little benefits to the existing system gamewise.
Take roles of the driver/leader, the gunner and then exercise correct tasking and communication and you have it: Hunter-Killer.

I did not ask what the hunter/killer system is, for the single reason that I already know how it works.
I asked if it could be implimented, which I realize you also answered.

Not possible on the BF2 engine im afraid.
Also would not really be practical given that BF2/PR armoured vehicles are crewed by only 2 men, and increasing that would just be impractical given the player limit on a server.
Oh and in future please direct your suggestions
