Who here would be interested in taking part in a Mapping Contest for Project Reality? This would mean developing a map from start to finish, with some help from the PR Devs to make official and unofficial maps for PR.

Only looking at how many people may be interested right now.

I am trying to make a map at the moment, but I am suffering from little time, and not getting motivated to do anything.

I think I might be a little more motivated if I was in a competition so yea, I'd say I'm interested.

How long would it run for?

It takes a very long time to make a PR quality map

I'm sure you are, but the question is are you up for putting in lots of sweat and tears (every time the BF2 editor crashes and you loose hrs of work ) into it?

I'd be down for this, though I wouldn't be able to commit too much time to the project.

I am And like I said: I have the editor up and running and trying to map a little everytime. I also want to make custom statics I guess But I could switch over to mapping first and making statics later.

Sure. I started a map for a faction. Does it still count for the contest?

that would depend on the rules and the factions on the map etc.

there will be be guidelines if it happens but as for a theme as such, doubt it, might be a very general theme or a few to pick from.

Like I said, right now we are just seeing how many ppl would be interested before we starting putting our heads together and come up with this stuff

I'd might be interested... This could give me some motivation to actually make a map

I am interested, making some practise maps right now but it would be great if you can get some advice from the devs to make better quality maps

all you need to do to do that is to post your questions and your WIP map pics in these Community Modding / Community Maps forums and we and the community can give you help and feedback

Sure. Never mapped, but it's about time I try it.

Who knows, perhaps I'll be a natural and make a real good map. (Or, more likely, I will fail miserably ! )

Too bad that I can use computer only in the weekends, meantime I would participate!

Ranky only really maps on the weekends and on days off, so its possible if you put your mind to it but it will mean your map will drag on

Like some others said I think this will be the motivation a lot of people need to actually start mapping
