Is this like other team games such as bf2. Where it is made to be organized and somewhat planned. But its normally just a bunch of people running around and being kamikaze jet pilots and other things. (Lol even though i love being a kamikaze). Or is it how it is made to be played.
Except when your playing in a clan match that is when a game shines.

Its normally very teamwork oriented and players generally adhere to that.
Although, as with any game, there are times where youll get a tard or two and just have to kick them from the squad or server.
But generally, its got some incredibly good teamplay on most servers with good admins
Best teamplay in a game Ive ever seen...

Good because teamplay makes a game 2000% better. Ive seen people say that it was very teamplay oriented.

Like all games you'll have some idiots who don't know or want to play it correctly.
But, for the most part is NOT like other games. It's very organized at the squad level. For example your squad leader will tell you what weapons the squad needs. And he has ultimate power over what the squad does. But, at a team level it's not as organized as a clan match, for the simple fact that very few people play as commander, so any inter-squad organization has to be done through team text chat, or a 3rd party voice solution.
If you're looking for good team play, I've never played another game that brings the same level of team play to public matches.
You dont need the level packs that are for singleplayer... just so you know...

No other game can compare to the amount of teamwork that the community of this mod has. On public games, there can be some retards and griefers, but usually you will find squad that works together and in some cases, the entire team works together, such as in the Al Basrah video.
It's also good to have a mic.

You can't've played that many games... Check out the currently freely available game Allegiance.
As for the "realism" aspect; there's a ton of "ultra-realism" mods for just about any first-person-shooter made over the last ten years. Some are better, some are worse; all are limited by the engine the original game was coded on. Currently PR is treading a decent line between playability and ultra-realism. Unfortunately, the most vocal people on these forums tend to favour the latter. Having played a billion-and-one ultra-realism mods for god knows how many FPSs over the years, I can say simply "that way madness lies."

Ace, why does it feel like you're the constant buzzkill on this board?
Its like if I went onto the ARMA boards and just bitched about the clunky interface.
This mod is a true community. You can just join servers randomly but the real fun begins when you make friends, not really clans, but just friends who you play with regularly. That brings the average fun of the pub match much higher.
PR has made me more internet friends than any other game. Thats what it really is. The community. tards aside.

X1000. PR was the reason I traveled to another state to spend a few days with 4 internet friends. Much PR and drinking ensued. Not denying it happens elsewhere, but the PR community really is a great group *awwww shucks* ops:

checklist
BF2 game installed
BF2 1.41 patch installed
then install the PR 0.856 core
then install the PR 0.856 levels
in that order or it gets buggy, like the servers showing up as red text

This is so true. Especially when you play regulary on one server.

I truly understand your question,i had a big disappointment with Red Orchestra, where it promised a realistic east front game but infact, although it needs to get some used its just a simplistic shooter game with no TW,no communication and no realism whatsoever other than 1 shot kills and no crosshairs.
Trust me on this,PR gives you what it promises...

If the cap fits...
I am guessing it's because I don't have a community-based axe to grind here. I have friends "IRL"; I'm here to post about the game (and rarely in the political forum), which means I have a relatively unique perspective on these forums.
Its like if I went onto the ARMA boards and just bitched about the clunky interface.
My posts address numerous topics, but like everyone I have my own personal agenda. If there's a flaw in a game, it strikes me as constructive to criticise it.

Says who? I've been playing for ages, I barely know any of you guys, much less care who you are. What makes me joining convenient servers and playing how I want and when I want "less valid" than yours, or anyone else's, or even every poster on the forum's experience?
PR has made me more internet friends than any other game. Thats what it really is. The community. tards aside.
All games, mods, etc have cliques, communities, whatever. I've been in the heart-and-soul of several over the years. The fact that you happen to have subscribed to this one doesn't make it special...
I know this makes me sound like a buzzkill, but really - why should I be expected to subscribe to a daisy-chain for my opinion to mean anything?
