i had a idea, what if we could get a full server with all mumble users ? how awesome would that be!

i have only just thought of this, so its thinking out loud really. Im thinking a passworded server (.:iGi:. hosted) for all mumble users to join .

could show the full potential of mumble, also give a change for those blasphemes to see the full awesomeness of mumble


so anyways, anybody interested ? could pass the password around via PM's here. top stop anyone we don't want joining the server.

one night, 64 players , all on mumble ! communication for all !

have never gotten around to use mumble,but got it setup on ym PC,so ill sure join and convince me to use it more often

well , we are on igi server now using mumble (shameless advertisement)

as for releasing our own client, dont see the need at this point or the possibility

is mumble that system which allows for people speaking over there mics to sort of get a directional feeling of where that speaking player is?

I would definately be there if it's this week. I miss TCombat's mumble nights.

you can hear people from within 70m unless they use force center (we kick/mute for that in the main channel, only use force center like a radio function in the SL channel)

I just did and it is alot of fun! Will have to adjust my settings a little bit though as I do seem to lag a bit while using it.

PS: There should be a rule banning forum members who don't have or know about Mumble.

I am not sure I followed the context, but if my interpretation is correct, I think this is a good idea for a short "hotfix".

As part of the server license, insist that VOIP is deactivated for a month or two on all servers to FORCE people into using mumble. Once joining mumble is a matter of course, pop it back on. That would soon sort the slackers out!

wouldnt work for inter squad communication, but thats enough disscusion
