does PR 085 offer any maps that offer just inf antry only? strictly ground pounding?

Indeed it does; Look for servers running Skirmish mode; they're infantry-only maps with a modified CP order and position.

All Insurgency/AAS/CNC 16 layers are Infantry layers.

Every map has an infantry layer, but most servers (for whatever reason) do not run them.

They can be alot of fun, and usually easier to admin cause less asshat vehicle whores

Personally I'd like to see 'Light vehicle' mod instead of infantry only. Light vehicle mod would feature jeeps, trucks and transport helo's only.

afaik thats the current 'infantry' layer for most AAS and ins maps

That sounds nice

It destroys the battlefield feeling more likely.

i is love all infantry layers. kashan gets soooo much better with inf only

Bi Ming
Tad Sae
Operation Ghost Train
Korengal
Assault on Mestia (APCs almost negated on that map)

All of these maps offer great infantry experiences even in the 64 player layer. If you want strictly infantry only, than Skirmish mode is what you want. There used to be 1 or 2 servers that were Skirmish exclusively but I can't recall if they are still popular.

Well now that schools out in 2 weeks, Im thinking of putting up a server again. Strictly for 16/32 size maps.

why then ppl will just get loads of road kills, cummon we had that on an old bf2 heavily modified demo server and the general conclusion was you just get road kills

But how do you want to make outposts then?

like normal , with co trucks.
