Please give the pilots pistols again, in real life all pilots carry sidearms in combat zones, most chopper crews carry smg's, and it really sucks if your shot down and your 400 yards away from friendly lines and your unarmed.

I don't see why there can't be 2 pilot kits, helo pilots get pistol/whatever and no parachute, jet pilots get no weapon and a parachute....

I wouldn't want a restriction like that. Guaranteed a scenario will come up where you legitimately need to transport more than 1 pilot around in an aircraft.

I don't really buy the complication of having a separate kit for helo and jet pilots. Just an unnecessary complication IMO, though I wouldn't cry/ragequit or anything if it got into the game.

Was the armed pilot really that much of a problem? How hard was it to neutralise a bunch of guys armed with pistols, especially if you got any range between you and them?

And I wantz a Nuke.



As people said Pilot kit could be renamned to airborne kit.

If the pilot "must" get a weapon I say give them nothing more than a knife or restrainers. I they get a firearm I believe many pilots will bail prematurely rather then try to fly their broken-a$$ plane or chopper back to the base. as far as i'm concerned, it's the price you pay to fly in PR.
