Does this game support multiple Controllers?

I have had to write this in here since I am getting little answers in the support forum about this. I would like to know if this game supports multiple controls. I ask this because I have purchased the saitek rudder pedals and am unable to get them to work. I also use the saitek joystick which instantly is recognised in the controls of PR, as Joy Axis 5.

I already know I would probably be able to set the rudder pedals as 2 single keyboard keys, but these pedals should be using an Axis rather than a keyboard command. Can someone help me out with this please, as I am still not sure whether this can or cannot be done. Thanks!!

I believe it can; I used an XBOX controller for flying planes & helicopters.

Thanks for the reply, but I am looking for someone to tell me how it is done and for my controllers. It appears that you have only used one controller (Xbox controller) and not multiple ones.

I've used multiple controllers. I had my steering wheel and joystick working, but im not sure if you can do both in the same vehicle. (which i think is what you're trying) I had my steering wheel for land vehicles and the joystick for air, but when it came to some buttons like map, zoom map, etc. (Ie, stuff in the general tab) they would go by the button number, and work on both. So for example i set 'Joy 5' on my joystick to map, but now 'Joy 5' on the wheel was also the map, unless it was already set to something else, in which case it said conflict.

Its a pain in the *** to setup, thats why i just use the joystick now and don't bother with the wheel.

Edit: I also tried setting my steering wheel pedals to rudder controls, with the joystick for the rest, and i couldn't get it working.

I am trying to get the rudder pedals to work with the aircraft, but I am starting now to believe that PR will not recognise the following 3 controllers working together: > X52 Throttle/X52 Joystick/X52 Rudder pedals. Now, unless someone has something else to say, I have concluded that I have just wasted £100 on these...LOL. Not really funny I know, but if I didn’t laugh I would cry...LOL.

I know I could probably set these Rudder pedals to work using a keyboard command instead of its own axis command, but I would have a major problem using this method. I would feel like I was on some type of skiing trip, making countless small adjustments, to every little turn and what not. Anyways, I am still holding out for someone to say yes it can be done.

I've got a wheel, pedals and a joystick plugged in and can use them all. Just need to have the logitech profiler open and uncheck "report combined pedals" in the global device settings for the pedals to work. Maybe you have a similar application for Saitek?

I don't know much about joysticks since I don't have one. But I know about a program called JoyToKey which may help you. JoyToKey English Version It's a bit old but might be able to help you with your problem.

And I would like to know the outcome of this since I'm considering getting the X52 stuff.

The Oak 82 – Do you use both the wheel & pedals for ground vehicles and the joystick for aircraft? I am curious to know this, because I believe the problem only occurs when you try to use 3 controllers on one particular vehicle.

Stoobyone – I already have a software profiler for the saitek rudder pedals, that I belive will allow me to assign a keyboard command to them, but like I have already explained they should be using an axis command. The axis command gives you analogue control the keyboard command doesn’t.

Thanks for your input guys!!

BTW - Do any Mods have the answer to this question, it is starting to give me a headache...God Damn Ruddy Rudder Pedals.

I can use the pedals for steering a helo left/right and the joystick for up/down and rolling the aircraft left/right.

I'll try using all 3 for 1 vehicle...

Edit:
Was able to use all three controllers.

But were the pedals smooth? Like, when you pushed them down a little bit, did you only turn a little bit?

Yes, I can control the speed the helo turns with the pedals.

Did you get to try them 3 controllers yet on one of the aircraft?

Yes, I rolled left/right with wheel, steered left/right with pedals and controlled throttle and up/down axis with joystick. My wheel and pedals do connect to the PC through the same USB cable, don't know if that makes a difference.
