"Rooting" MGs, Snipers, etc....

I was thinkg about LMGs and "deploying" them, and how they are used in real life. Yes I checked for previous threads, and there weren't any on this. Basically I was wondering if its within the engines parameters to be able to deploy your MG or sniper on a window sill or on the edge of a roof and "root" the gun so you can swivel in a 180 degrees radius akin to something like this?
ITs basically how soldiers set up in buildings with their bi-pods, but I wasn't sure if the game engine actaully do it.

you can't interact with objects like that in bf2 (unless you made them like the emplaced weapons, which would require too many networkable objects surely?)
I'm sure its a resuggestion, but an old one.
Perhaps this could be simulated to a point with a deployed mode alla the AR-R (but there is probably an active thread discussing deployed mode for snipers etc)

Why would someone say BF2 was a bad game when it came out?

Name another engine that would run PR other then ArmA and you'll get one of those e-cookies all the kids seem to be into

* 4x Zoom to simulate realistic effective range (this zoom will be on ironsights until 4x optics are added to all conventional MG's, which they will be)
When the deployed MG can be fired from all stances that's pretty much like a "rooted" MG then isn't it?

Why are they wearing MARPAT helmets and woodland BDU's?

Probably because they've got MARPAT helmet covers but havent recieved the cammie jammies. Its happened before (though the other way round, during the US involvment in Somalia the rangers had choc chip helmet covers and 3 colour DCUs)
Anyway resting weapons on this that and the other has been suggested several times before and is sadly not possible. Locked for resuggestion.
