Alot of people say PR is the best BF2 mod.. I think thats true, but would still like to try other BF2 mods and see what they are like..


Are there any other BF2 mods out there that are worth downloading? It would be nice if we could make a list here.

I also heard there is a mod that is like GMOD for HL2 but for BF2..

FH2= Forgotten Hope 2

POE2 = Point Of Exsitence 2

OPK 2= Operation Peace Keeper 2

EOD2 = Eve Of Destruction 2

AIX2= Allied Intent Extended 2

just google them and download

Oh one more thing? Which of those is "realistic" and not the vBF2 garbage?

Forgotten Hope 2 is imo the most realistic mod of all these, but it's still very similar to vanilla

IMO FH2 is the best mod after pr.
all the other mods are vanila style ****.

FH2 isn't really going for the kind of reality PR offers, so there's little comparison, but it just happens to be the most realistic of the alternate mods.

The others are more like sandbox vBF2 mods.

in terms of quality and gameplay Eve of Destruction and Forgotten hope 2 are the next best mods to PR.

EoD in particular is alot of fun. (very atmospheric)

if you like teamwork and "realism" - PR is best

if you like, i dont know... planes and helicopters ect - AIX is best ?

Forgotten hope 2 seems cool.

FH2 = Some great WW2 combat. Very finished and polished mod. Nice sounds, artillery is just epic, etc. Grenades are like nukes, although they aren´t spammed.

EOD2 = I am not sure how many play, but also good fun with a nice environment.

USI = Desert storm style mod, quite fun also, some cool vehicles, MLRS etc. Similar to vanilla with a touch of realism.

AIX2 = Another awesome mod, tons and tons of content, and the amount of map packs available would fill your HD. Very fast paced though, very spammy (in a fun take a break kind of way) and mostly for vehicle addicts.

Operation Peacekeeper = An excellent mod very often left out for some reason. Awesome sounds, very nice vehicles and weapons, germany vs ukraine more or less. Similar to vanilla, but better. Awesome CQB town map.

POE2 = germany/US and ukraine? Nice mod with alot of nice vehicles and maps, although I don´t have this atm so can´t remember much.

Wookie = If you are into a bit of sniper whoring with rangefinder and adjustable scopes. Quite hard actually until you get the hang of it.

To answer your question simply.

No there is no better mod or a mod just as good as PR for bf2.

Although AIX mod is good if you like single player action. FH2 was cool until everyone stopped playing it.

Sometimes, FH2 has 64 players.


FH2 is more about Historical Accuracy than Realistic Combat like PR. I used to play PR alot.. now im into FH2. These devs are really good whit Textures.. these models are really accurate.. and now whit the Normandy Theater coming.. aww man EPIC!

Yeah, it's pretty fun. I started playing but i was disappointed to see only a handful of guys were playing it.


Do you think more people will rush in when the Normandy theater comes? I sure hope so.

I have yet to try out the other mods guys

Is the AIX mod popular? Does it have alot of people playing it? I'm about to DL it but i don't want to make a mistake and DL a dead game

AiX is kinda SP mod.. but theres a couple of guys playing it.

I would say Pirates 2 but is kinda dead i think.

AIX has alot of players.

FH2 wants to be (more) realistic, in the next patch everything is going to be black and white. Somehow I don't think all the soldiers were colorblind, but alright.
