Hey all,

I'm new to PR and also not that great with transferring files. I play the latest version of PR on my laptop and wanted to transfer the files to my desktop. What's the best way to go about doing this? If I burn it off using DVD-R ( can I use this?) which folders will I have to put on it? Is it just the mods folder or is there something else

Thanks for the help :)

If u transfer the PR folder to youre desktop simply go to EAgames/battlefilled2/mods and paste the folder there.

Also, your settings are stored in a folder in; \My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\000*

It's a good idea to backup the .con files if you don't want to set all the options and controls again.

I used a USB cable and my PSP with its 8 GB memory card to transfer my files... no problems.

A simple solution would be to burn the PR_core and PR_levels set up files to a DVD-r and install it

all big downloads such as mod installers I always backup on my PC and never delete (even if they are out of date since they can come in useful, still have PR v0.2 on my HDD some where hehe).

But ye, if you dont have the installer back up, like P.S.Txatu miller suggested, all you really need to do is copy the "pr" folder (without the quotes) from C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\ to the same location on your other PC (HDD may be diffrent, and file directory may also be a little diffrent depending on how you installed it) and then you need to copy your shortcuts from the desktop etc and then its pretty much installed :)

this is the best way to do it imo. every new release of PR i burn the core and levels file onto a dvd and keep it in my bf2 box with the rest of the discs. that way i only have to download it once.
