My mic does not work in BF2 nor the VoiceSetup =/
I have updated audio drivers (Using onboard sound Mobo=Nvidia 780i FTW)
Tested mic in other programs and computers, WORK FINE
Im using Vista Ultimatex32
In game voice is enabled along with output to max and the same for mic boost.
Mic boost is on in windows also, but when i updated audio drives it gave me the stupid realtek HD audio manager again =/ which i HATE

so if anyone can help i would appreciate it very much! ive seen other posts like this but have yet to see any solutions to the problem

Tried increasing microphone boost? Right click on the speaker icon in the taskbar. Click Recording Devices.

Double click on the Microphone. Does it say Working btw with a green check mark in the mini pic? And speaking into it raises the green bars?

A new window will pop up after double clicking it. Choose the Levels tab, and increase the microphone boost to the max, preferably. Make sure the mic volume is at the max too.

Try BF2/PR again. Hope this works for you.

yes my mic works in windows and my mic boost is at the max which is 30db =/
along with the mic output, its max too

the BF2 VOIP does not work with most integrated sound cards.

Also, I find speaking into the mic before pressing the test button in the Options menu works. Like a hum or a word, 'Hello', would turn the bar green when pressing mid-speaking. Then as the test remained green, I'd speak and the mic would hear me, somewhat.

Weird I have always used integrated and never had any problem.

yes im running as admin of the little things ive tried =/ its something bigger? idkk

guess ill have to go out and buy a soundcard....

CyrusPI haha i went back in and now the audio setting in game will let me change them, as to where before i had realtek hd audio **** it was all greyed out :0

but now it works IN GAME, just the voice tester standalone app doest pick it up? but it works

I went for about 6months without being able to get VOIP to work, if anyones really stumped, try a USB microphone, that solved my issues

Yeah, in Vista, that standalone tester thing didn't work at all for me. Even the installer first time crashed after clicking Done.

So in-game works for you? Sweet. That's good to hear. Now all I need is my game to start picking up my faint voice.

well i just paid 80$ for a Razer Carcharias headset bc my 20$ crapp-o radioshack headset work
so i dont feel like buying another headset just for 1 game =/ lol
