LSW/RPK Small Clip?

So i got thinking - i'd love to have the
LSW used in some way... but who could have it?
Support could have it, I presume, or Assualt. Either way, it poses another question: what to do to balance it?
Well, if hypothetically we have GB vs MEC, we'll have a 30 Round LSW 5.56 against a 120 round RPK 7.62...not exactly fair, now is it.
So what about an
RPK-74, rather than the RPK?
So now we've got a 45 round clip - more fair now, isn't it.
I'd like to see these work - so for GB vs MEC, it'd be LSW/RPK-74, GB vs PLA it'd be
GPMG/Minimi against the PLA Support weapon... should liven things up a bit.
Obviously we could still do RPK vs GPMG, but it'd be nice to have some LSW action in there somewhere.
Comments?

Fullforce, i would not give up too soon.
Look at my DM suggestion, egg said that they are working on it so we might just see more classes than in previous PRMM's.
The British DM would have the L86A2.

I refer you to the "Clip vs Magazine" thread.

RPK-74 is an old weapon (1970s) Think about the UMG?

Yeah, I'm surprised nobody's pointed that out yet.
Meet Mrs. Clip
Mr. Magazine and friends
I'm not sure about making these limitations, can't we just have a drum magazine for the LSW? Whether they're used or not is irrelevant, it's not like it's impossible.

I suggested it months before you came on the froums, and people have suggested it before me. Oh and guess what, the devs thought of it when they where thinking about putting the british in....

Woah chill out! Its only a suggestion man - and the more its reinforced the more that the DEVs will be sure to put it in.
And I also think there is a place for the discussion about the LSW as new people have new ideas etc.

nice... think with any extra kit thing, there would be a very big change in styles since so much more can be added.

I forgot to put that in, what a fool I be. I was thinking about it too.
Yes, i'd like that.
As for Clips vs Magazines... no one cares. really.

The RPK has a 75 round drum magazine, not 120.
And not every weapon is going to be equal; you will have to work within the advantages and limitations of each. For example, the LSW might have 9 magazines to the RPK's 3 and have the SUSAT.

I was thinking that we must not look at each classes but the whole MEC/PLA/Brit/USMC to check on balance. So if US have better sniper, MEC might have a stronger support class and it may balance etc.
And Eddie I know for certain that the RPK-74 has a 75 or 100 round drum magazine.

But the RPK-74 is the 5.45mm version, not the 7.62mm version.

Pretty sure I've seen the RPK-74 with the 5.45 x 39 mm M74 ammunition and a 100 round drum mag
AS WELL AS the 7.62mm 100round drum mag for the RPK.
but I could be wrong i suppose

The RPD, predecessor to the RPK, had a 100 round drum/belt box. There are Chinese 100 round aftermarket drum magazines, probably originally designed for their Type 81 squad automatics. Haven't seen them mounted on the RPK, though. The RPD and Chinese drum magazines are distinguised from the RPK 75-round drums by hanging straight down rather than angled forward.

IT IS? Damn me and my **** ammo counting skills. Thats the problem with PR - you don't know the total rounds in your mag... perhaps something that could be added, so you know the amount of rounds you're loading (ie, the max in your clip).
like that time i said the SPR had a 10 round clip.
Forgot about the susat. That would be an advantage for sure.
