I was thinking... i know you dont pilots to have pistols cus they like to parachute behind lines and take out the whole team. how about removing parachutes and adding pistols? this would take away the problem of when the alarm in a chopper goes off the pilot climbing to a safe bailout altitude and bailing out leaving everyone else in the chopper doomed.

If you cant parachute why would you need a gun in return? I understand the "now you have to land" idea but doesn't remove the pistol problem.

But I do agree Heli pilots shouldn't be able to bail.

But what's the use of the pistol?

i think chute level if anything should be lowered so that way pilots would survive crashed more often instead of almost always dying and keep the pistol out

No wouldint work because 1 thing the mod is working on is reality not choice. 1 thing the gun wouldint do anything becasue when the pilots heli is blowing up in the sky he would have to jump out with a parachute but he would have the pistol instead of the parachute so wouldint be able to jump out because he would die. if you get stuck in reading this theres no pint having the pistol instead of the parachute becasue the pilot wouldint surrive with out a parachute so he wouldnt be able to to use his gun so no need.

The downed pilot has a MP7 or something.

no not a mp7, just a normal mp5
black hawk down is also not a good source!
theyre also pictures of pilot haveing m4's or m16's behind their seats.

US Navy (standard?) issue sub machinegun is the MP5-N (Dont quote me on that)...with any gun you won't beat 5 people at once...

I guess its not possible to allow 1 pilot in a heli at once.... you could just give pilots a massive deviation increase and let them keep their chutes

How about this:

We add in parachutes and m4's and limit the pilot to one life...all game long. This will make a pilot value his life.

You're forgetting aircraft pilots.... an A-10 pilot wont have an m4 or even an mp5... Also I don't think ive ever heard of a helicopter pilot using a parachute. Wouldn;t there be some danger with the proppellers??? thats not fact, just a question.

Well you dont pop your chute the second you leave the heli...even if your only a few hundred meters from the ground...
