About the Chinook.

I realize you can't have more then 8 in a vehicle, and this suggestion is probably very useless, but would it be possible to have the rear hatch to be open and closed by the pilot binded to the fire button? I realize it's not realistic, but this would allow more people to squeeze into the helicopter, and as long as the physics aren't as bad as the Source engine, no one would fall out and it'd be worth it to implement.

In V0.8, the merlin had a hatch just as described. the CO-Pilot seat dropped the ramp
what you said was removed from PR for some reason
Don't know why

They thought it might cause the merlin lag is why it was removed, dunno if the chinook is getting it.

The merlin is bugged... @op You cant have this because once the pilot Reaches 140KPM or above everyone who isn't "technically" in the vehicle die and the pilot gets about a gazillion tks...

The Chinook will be able to drop 2 suppy crates, facilitating a Fire base the entire team to spawn on.

No.

Simply put if you have someone on your vehicle while you are moving they will just get tked by you. They said they haven't attempted to edit the physics yet but maybe if they did they could find a way to fix this. How awesome would it be to just be able to hop onto a vehicle and ride along without getting in.

The back ramp for the merlin i found so useful well dropping troops of at uneven ground because when i had a co-pilot to watch the back helping to guide me. i could get the ramp onto anything that the tail wouldn't hit. plus it was better then having to hover over the ground on mountain tops. Having the passengers hop out and possibly start to bleed out.

Everyone would get TK'ed by the pilot unless he flew very slowly, which isn't practical nor realistic.

The original Battlefield 1942 could have and did do this. Unfortunately, the BF2 engine cannot comprehend relative velocity. Your idea of making the hatch open is fully possible, putting people in the back while the vehicle moves and them surviving is not. Closing topic for hardcoded. For more on the Chinook please be patient as it is not yet in game.
