Ok,this is a suggestion, that sniper and spotter could need very much.
The JDAM has a range finder......On this way the spotter could tell the sniper the range.
The officer could need it if he(she) just need to find the range.

First off its the SOFLAM and it used to have a range finder but it came up before the binos came up so it looked kinda weird.

So you are suggesting the Soflam have a range meter on it? Doesn't it already? Not like ranges really matter since the view distance and bullet drop is minimal.
Edit: ok I guess they removed the range finder from the Soflam not like it was useful I guess that's why I never noticed.

Ohh so someone has to find up something they can mark ground with and use different symbols, as move and attack marker where the range stand under, I wonder how I am gonna do that.
Adetter: Not to be rude boy, but you should begin thinking before posting seriously you have gotten all your threads closed for a reason.

On maps like kashan bullet drop is a common difficulty due to the large view distance. I know for a fact that from the ridge that overlooks north village to the village itsself is 600m. I mean from the point aswell.
Also the only people that can call a request for a JDAM is the SL and they can place markers to find distance so there isnt much point placing a range finder.

I was sarcastic and imo if you cant ask your sl to put down a marker for you its a fail squad/SL. Or as you said it can be okay with the sniper, but its usally the sniper is the SL or has a spotter as SL problem solved, you can also look at the grids and asume how far it is to the place you want its not hard. As the only ones having GTLD is SL and Sniper its really just pointless as far as I can remember.

Wut? as I said usually in a sniper and spotter team you have one SL and a SM, not a 4 man squad counted with the SL and one sniper/spotter squad in the same squad. Its just fail IMO as even how much you twist it around, you will have a SL that can mark with the markers, as GLTD is only in 2 kits. And if you cant a marker because you are lonewolfing in a squad your doing it wrong.

I have a feeling with every post you make addeter, that you just wish to be a leet sniper?
on the suggestion, you dont really need a rangefinder when you have a spotter with you who is the SL.
