I want to download the PR Mod, but I need some info. Will this effect me playing on normal BF2 servers like strike at karkand and some of the other ones? Will I still be able to play on some of my favorite bf2 servers?

You can continue playing bf2 without major changes.
Your crosshair will be white and auto-reload will be turned off.
But you could create a second profile and play PR on that one, so Bf2 will completely unaffected.

You wont go back to Bf2 anyway, if you have played PR

Like Priby said, nothing will change exept for the crosshair colour and the autoreload and this can be avoided by creating a second profile for PR.

Im just curios,how old are you?
Im just thinking...if you like karkand etc so much and now want to play PR i really think that you should stay on PR for at least 1 week.

When you get the hang of the ropes of PR, vBF2 is gonna be as dull as watching paint dry

Stick with it, it may be confusing at the beginning but read the manual and it will be much easier.

Welcome to the forums,

first thing you will want to do is read the manual supplied when you download and install both Core and Levels. Once that is done, go onto a server, make sure you have a mic aswell, and say to your squad leader you are new and don't be afraid to ask any questions you might have Oh and don't fly unless on a training server, and make sure to get practice in

Battlefield 2 and Project Reality are two separate mods. You can still play the original when you wish, and play the mod PR when you wish. They are run with different shortcuts of their own, making it convenient and easy.

However, as of yet, PR does not support the Beta 1.5 patch released by Dice on April 21st. So if you have Beta 1.5 installed, you probably can't play PR unless you reinstall and patch back to 1.41.

PR will change your crosshair colors and the minimap settings for BF2 to best suit the mod, so it's advisable to make a new BF2 account just for the mod. It could be your current one, with a slight change so you know it's your PR account.

Anyways, be sure to stay infantry at first mr smith, and then go for ground veichles, work your way from there

Wow, thanks for all the feed back guys. I have just started playing the pc version of Bf2 so im just getting use to it. Played the ps2 version for 1000+ hours. I have been watching the PR videos on YouTube of. I really like all the team work I see on them. So I will give PR a round im sure I will love it.
