Im just wondering if it cant be modified?
It seems to me that the aim and bullettrajectory are exactly the same as in BF2?

I just hate when u cant hit things 0-200 meters from prone position!

IRL u cant miss.....almost at least!

//Thnx and exSQUEESE me for not finding any info on this in forumsearch!

Lol, the way bullets behave has been modified heavily in PR to reflect RL details affecting the soldiers such as weapon sway etc.

The weapons are way less accurate in PR if you are moving than in vanilla BF2. If you can't hit anything from prone at that range you just need to allow your weapon to settle.

PR introduces "deviation" which means basically that bullets will deviate in a conical fashion from your weapon. The size of the cone is affected by when you last moved and your stance. Therefore the longer you stay still the more accurate you will be as in RL. As I said before this is to simulate but not necessarily demonstrate pressures on the shooter in a real life combat situation (adrenaline, fatigue etc.).

Search deviation and you will find a million threads just like this one.

aha.....sorry then.....guess PR-team wont be happy when they see my post!

But still: to me theres no realism in my proned shots, cause somehow i seem to miss in extremely short ranges!!!!

But my question is somewhat answered, there is a "computerbased" "deviation"....
to me also known as "u need luck" cause your computer "deviates"

Sorry for not remembering the word "deviate" in my forum search!

Same as for proned and deployed SAW.......up to 100 meters u just cant miss due to lots of bullets and a "sterdy" gun... (sorry bout spelling.....not my native lingo)

But it can also be very hard to programme my "suggestions".....dont know...

Anyway, I just wanted some answers and I got them!

//Thnx

edit: what I really want is a aim that u can count on.....what I saw in my steel sights 0-200 meters got hit.... 6 inch spread on 200 meters..... then plz dont let my shots spread over 6 inches up to lets say 50 meters?

Again mate, just wait. You will find that you are much more accurate if you wait 2 seconds before firing your 1st round, and then space your shots. Don't fire on burst/auto unless the range is less than 40m.

Also the amount of deviation changes from weapon to weapon, affected obv. by the recoil. For example G3 has a lot of recoil and therefore bigger deviation so you need to space your shots a bit further apart than you would with an M4.

If you follow the above suggestions then it is possible to hit targets with an M4 at ranges up to and beyond 300m.

wait before you shoot, and wait between shots and you will be successful. also dont move between shots

The deviation in-game is meant to represent a number of factors hampering a real-life soldier which can not be reproduced in BF2: fatigue, weapon sway, combat stress, etc. If it was possible to have a working moving scope/iron-sight that would be used, but since that isn't possible this is the best that can be done.

Also, locking this for re-suggestion.
