Seeing as the recent spur of community mods was in Southasia. I have a proposal.
The Republic of China (ROC), Taiwan is the breakaway part of what we know as China or the Peoples Republic of China (PRC). Established in 1912, Taiwan has always been agaisnt China. One being a democratic republic and the latter being a socialist republic. China claims Taiwan's government is illigitimate. Thus, it is only realisitc that during the time in PR we know as World War III, the Southeast Asia Theater of Operations includes Taiwan.

Question, since this is a combined forces faction, (Army,Air Force, Navy, Marines)
should we go for the Tiger Stripe pattern,

Which looks better and adds a new feel and in use with the Marines
or the ERDL Lime Pattern which looks to work better and in use with the Army?


And should Singapore be in this, they would be like the ANA for the Dutch Faction and they are the only country with permanent bases in the RoC.

I like th is idea to be honest, I mean that makes total sense that if there is a war with the US and CHina, Taiwan would definitly be involved, probably be attacked first so that the US doesn't have a staging area to attack from. Also the tiger stripe looks cooler though all things considered, Heavy PRC is looking into making the PRMC so it's possible that they'll be split up, so we could logically have bother uniforms.

I like this idea. BTW that m16 (i think it is) on the soldiers back has a huge scope, i could help out with modeling.

BTW for some reason the spreadsheet is not working for me. whenever i click the link all get is a white screen.

this is one of the more realistic scenarios for the PLA than we currently have. the US military invading mainland china imo is a bit silly. however the PLA invading taiwan to re-unify it with the mainland? theyve been threatening to do that for years. so it makes perfect sense that we should have this in PR. theres 2 elements of this that would have to be created though
1. maps i remember a while back someone was working on a taiwan map for PR. it was a long time ago but maybe the person who made it can be tracked down and perhaps the map can be finished. i can see alot of amphibious invasion style maps for a taiwan community faction. both PLA invastion and USMC counterattacks.
2. the ROC army. judging from the google pics of taiwanese army soldiers ive seen, it looks like they wear almost the same gear as the USMC. the camo is different however, ive seen a mix of BDU style camos and some type of digital camo in the ROC. this may mean that to make ROC soldiers you would only have to re texture the USMC models and change the faces to asian faces. new weapons would have to be made however, the ROC uses some kind of weird m16 knockoffs as shown in the pictures in the op.

one thing this community mod has going for it though is that theres already a PLA which is getting more goodies every PR release, as well as a PLA marines that is in the works.

Its a T65K2, a M16 knock off and yes thats a huge scope. I believe its some sort of Night vision ACOG hybrid or something.

You could start with the T91 as its the most used rifle in the spreadsheet.

Maps are created for every community mod as is the army, so nothing much different from us than other mods.
We're (Me, I'm, Tomato and I...) going for the T91 which is a kind of M4, AR18, M16 hybrid, the maps we'll worry about later as they take the longest to make. Then I have to PM Heavy to see if he is going to make the RoC MC or not. After that I'll decide which camo to make.

Another thing going for it is the fact it has a spreadsheet already, someone didnt tell him make a spreadsheet and come back so he's definitly organized here
I'd be willing to help model stuff, but I'm trying to model myself a Kamaz over here for a static or possibly a vehicle for someone

how would it be possible to distinguish between ROC and PROC forces within realistic reasoning?
would the soldiers gun be the only distinguishable parts or is there another plan for this already?

same way we distinguish between every other faction. if the taiwanese faction is made, they most likely wont be wearing the same gear as the PLA, and will probably have differnet camos so really for anyone who is a PR player it shouldnt be too hard. id say you would have a harder time on MEC vs USMC maps and even they arent too hard to distinguish.

The ROC existed long before the PRC, so technically they didn't break away, but that's beside the point. More importantly, I really like this idea. In a World War where China is a primary combatant, chances are they would send a force at some point to take Formosa, so I'd really like to see this scenario in PR. And of course, this would act as another great way to use the PLANM faction when it comes about.

We were just getting start

I'm really looking forward to see our military force show in PR.

Conflicts between Taiwan and China is a prominent issue in east-asia.

You can see our achieved percentage of scheduled. We just have completed a few part in total.

We started on the end of February and inherited some work of a stop-developed TW force mod.

Well, they speak chinese and need only to be reskinned and few weapon models are needed so it doesn't seem to be a huge work. I like it.

Sometime Taiwanese speak taiwanese instead of Chinese sometimes.

Some Taiwanese even speak hakka or other aborigine dialects.

So it's quite common Taiwanese soldier talk in a mix of Chinese and Taiwanese since sometimes the expression would become stronger...in some way.

Nozumu and Eric's team have dedicated a lot to Taiwan's PR community and has good relation with Chinese PR community.

Actually,I have a basic question.
How many you know about Taiwan Armed Army?
I think many information can be find on the internet,
like tanks, guns, helicopters and jet.

But we are Taiwanese,
Many sound effect need "real" Taiwanese to do it,
we know more about Taiwan Army,
and also the cities, the stress and the island,
we can do it better,
nozumu is have many projects, and some projects is complete,
I think you could go to the website from nozumu,
and we can what is you and our next step,
maybe we can get teamwork, who knows?
But need nozumu and the other crews apply.......
