Firstly, there are only 6 in each squad. Secondly they are optional, you have to put them together as you play, they arent something you MUST participate in in Americas Army. So eliminate squad leader from that list. However I STRONGLY support building a class limit system AROUND the squads of 6. And with the new change map to fit your server size option, that means you guys(devs) can make it so that the class limits change too.
Allow me to lay it out. Ill only be listing US weapons(I know these the best), you can figure out the other forces counterparts. All except riflemen should be restricted to 1 per squad, and even then you have to pick and choose who you need for what your doing. However more map sepcific limitations for certain classes(engineer/grenadier)

Riflemen:
Option 1- 9MM\M16\3 Frag\1 Smoke
Option 2- 9MM\M4\3 Frag\1 Smoke

Automatic Riflemen:
Option 1- M249\3 Frag\1 Smoke
Option 2- M240\3 Frags\1 Smoke

Grenadier:
Option 1- 9MM\M16\M203\1 Smoke
Option 2- 9MM\M4\AT4\1 Smoke

Combat Engineer:
Option 1- 9MM\M4\Claymore\Wire Cutters(for disabling enemy explosives)
Option 2- 9MM\M4\Satchel Charge(a settable fuse as well, BF:V has this on the TNT charges, so I have reason to believe BF:2 will be able to)\Wire Cutters

Medic:
Option 1- 9MM\M16\Med Stuffs
Option 2- 9MM\M4\Med Stuffs

Communications(radio man):
Option 1- 9MM\M4\Bincos w/ radio(for calling artillary)
Option 2- 9MM\M4\Laser Designater

Marksman:
Option 1- 9MM\SPR\Spotting Scope
Option 2- 9MM\M40A3\Spotting Scope

Thats all you mite need on the battlefield, more map specific classes could be included as well(tanker, pilot, SF, indigenous) While 1 per Squad may seem like a small amount, you have to think about it. In an entire platoon there are only 2 MG's IRL. In a 24 player server thats means NO ONE even has to be a riflemen, everyone can be a specialized class. Wether or not they get the one they want is undecided, but the #'s wont be unbalanced so that everyone is using LMG's or AT4's.

Pistols are not assigned to everyone

Pistols are usually limited to officers, NCOs in leaderhsip positions (squad leaders, platoon sergeants, etc.), special operations, aviators / aircrew, tank crew, crew-served weapons gunners (machineguns, mortars, anti-armor) military police / criminal investigators and other selected personnel whose job doesn't require a rifle or carbine, or require a secondary weapon.

Sorry then. Keep the pistol to the Marksmen and AR guys in that case. And you can combie the communication and marksman guy(they could have spotting ability), if there are only 6 positions. As for SL, he could be issued a pistol when he becomes one, the problem with having an actualy Squad Leader class is that he is not always going to be the squad leader. That job goes to anyone that wants to be it.

Trauma doesnt, and the use of squads will be minimal. They are an optional thing, a guy goes to some interface and starts a squad.. after that up to 5 people can join. That is why a squad leader wouldnt be a good class, they AREN'T always going to be the squad leaders.

Also, instead of including the AT4 in the grenadier class. Put it in option 2 for riflemen as opposed to the frags. And give the G class an M4 w/ M203 instead, and the M16 instead of an M4.
