The only documentation seems to be on how to set it up, so I want to ask a few questions.

1.) Who exactly can hear you? What's the range for anyone regardless of team to hear you?

2.) Do you still need in-game VoIP to speak to squad members far off?

I think this game would be a lot better if things were documented. The manual only covers extreme basics. Of course, the guide's been down for months now...Maybe that's what I'm missing.

1. With the current version you can set the audible distance to whatever you like, the standard(Which will be set in the PR version) is 70m, though at a very low volume.

2. Mumble will complement in-game VOIP.

Does it get get quieter the farther away?.

yes, 0 to 70m will get progressively quieter, from 70m you will hear nothing, at 70m you will hear a distant voice.
