Have checked the forum and havent found anything about this. So i hope this isnt any resuggestion. But in Battlefield 2 when you join a server you can read a little intressting information about the map. Would be fun to see that aswell in PR. For example:
Muttrah City
During the night the USS Essex have prepared the postion for an amphibious assault on the city of Muttrah, during the early morning The United states Marine Task Force starts their assault on the harbour city. The undermanned 413th MEC mekanised battalion that resides just outside Muttrah and are awaiting new reinforcement is rushing to defend the city, and hold out until reinforcement can arrive.
Maybe its something thats classed as unnecessary, but would be fun to read during the loading time.

The PR devs used to do this and stopped because it was felt it limited what you could do with the map, it might have limited strategic thinking and also because they simply couldn't spell.
I agree with their reasoning.

Have you guys noticed BF2 map description sounds so strange? Same for Project Reality.
It's like sentence structure is... incorrect. Any English teacher here? I can never understand it.

hahaha, well as far as vbf2 goes thats bad their professionals, but i think alot of the devs are from Europe which i can see why they screw up the context sometimes.
i would love to see this back in the game too so im not as bored waiting for the game to load....and it doesn't really limit the map if you create a little writing on it after you create the map.

Best place for it would be in Wiki or something, if it ever opens.

I don't miss them personally.
If PR generally has no specific time line or story then I think it's appropriate the maps don't either.

well i mean a little history on the cities or where ever the battle takes place would be kinda cool doesnt need a specific time line.

Perhaps the description could be about the making of the map itself.
Like who contributed to it's creation and what it was based on, things like that.

Don't need description, we're making our own history!

The only thing I would like is a description of what flags gives ticket bleed and which doesn´t as this is very random between maps and makes the team fight over useless flags alot of the time. The fictional stuff, creating a scenario etc. is just annyoing and im glad its not in PR.

Sounds like something, but have to agree with ChizNizzle, its not important. Its more like adding a little bit of spice too it. Or just put it up on the Forum so people can choose if they want to read it or not.
