ok, i searched the forums and didn't find this one, so here goes:

Playing Kashan Desert (Training) and i noticed that when i sat in the f-16, it appeared that the A-10's front landing gear wheel doesn't roll symmetrically while taxing. anyone else noticed this?

The A-10 does not take off straight because the front landing gear is placed to the side in order to place the the cannon, this is true IRL also, thus not able to take off straight adds to the reality of the plane in this game.

From Wikipedia: "Because of the close proximity of the front landing gear and the A-10's main cannon, the landing gear is offset to the aircraft's right and cannon slightly to the left (see schematic below). During ground taxi, the offset front landing gear causes the A-10 to have dissimilar turning radii. Turning to the right on the ground takes less space than turning left" (Link)

This also mean that during take off, the plane will also turn slightly and thus requiring the pilot to counter the turning effect with the rudder.

Correct me if i'm wrong cause i'm just referring to the source

EDIT: The wheel has nothing to do with this, its about the A-10 turning while taking off, as mentioned by previous posts.

Yeah, it roll's funny when taxing, i noticed it yesterday.

I remember when i was taking of when i just started playing this game (like 2 years ago), when i took of i went to the right and hit the barbwire and blew up. I told him that the A10 just automatically turn to the right, but he didn't believe me :(
