You know like on splinter cell how you can drag dead bodies places that would be cool for medics and people sneaking around!

If you have trouble as a medic with being shot while trying to revive, I suggest throwing a smoke grenade on the person you are going to revive, and when smoke is efficient, get out there and do your job

I get that problem with being a medic a LOT. I'll revive someone and they'll run out of cover and get shot. Then, the only chance I have of reviving is killing the almost invisible proned guy or by doing a suicide dive and hope the dimwit actually runs. Smoke's no good, it's not hard for someone to rememer where the jackass getting revived is. It'd be nice to drag the guy into cover and revive him, but alas, it's impossible. For now, suicide runs will have to do.

Same here, looks like the BF2 engine's much less flexible than I thought...

Smoke gives you a better survival chance overall, and in my experience it actually works...Unless the killer was lying right around the next corner.

I use it mostly if I expect the killer to be some distant sniper or similar, and it has worked great until now. You just have to hope for the injured person that he'll survive until the smoke is efficient

its a shame a lot of things in the BF2 engine seem to be as flexible as concrete.
now if only EA would release the BF2 source code....

hahahahaa if only they would... but they never will since they keep hacking it up, and would want to sell it before they gave it away...
were never going to have it easy... but we can at least hope they dont Cripple BF2142 ... then some of the awesoem features can be used by awesome mods...

Hopefully we'll see PR for 2142, it'd be a big project turning a futuristic game into 21st century, but judging by the new features in the engine it'll really help PR, they're using a drag and drop class system with 40 class combinations plus loads of unlocks. Does that interest anyone here?

ROFFLE, I've probably heard this forty times from Rhino.

I hope the devs dont ever touch another EA/DICE game with the lack of possibilities. EA/DICE dont deserve this team. Unless of course your right and there are suddenly more options with 2142, and this stuff can get ported over.
I will not be buying anymore of this **** though.

So far BF2142 looks to be pretty awesome. Yes, it does indeed look like a mod, but the new features are cool too. Titan Mode is being introduced, basically where both teams have a huge, floating capital ship full of vehicles and stuff, kinda like the Aircraft Carriers, only floating. Both teams must fight for the land on the map, use their missile artillery to disable the enemy's shields then use launch pods from the APCs when they get close enough to board the enemy Titan when the shields are down. Then, they destroy 4 main points inside the Titan before destroying the core, then the attackers must jump to safety, gaining more points for getting a successful evacuation. Sounds pretty awesome, but I really like the sound of the class system. There are four main classes, Recon, Assault, Engineer and Support, and you can add and remove features for each class and getting promotions gives you more options to build your character. With 43 ranks they say you'll probably have your first promotion within half an hour.
I don't care how much people knock EA and DICE, I love Battlefield.

Naw they are just trying to rip on ET:QW, which looks like it will be way better; based upon my playing of Wolf:ET. Althogh competition is good, this is just a way for EA to gain some marketshare. If its a good game ill play it. Most likely itll have the same problems as BF2, and with an alternative this time around, i doubt it will manage to have the same chance at a userbase.

yea, the insurgency mod for hl2 might be a lot better, given hl2's modding flexability. With the bf2 engine, you can't do shit.
