[ Crash landing of helicopters ]

In real battlefield, military helicopters keep its pilots alive in crash landing, especially armed choppers such as AH-64.

I hope that appears in PR. Pilots get out of the crashed chopper, wait for rescue while hiding themselves. That is fun!

To add crash landing to PR, I have some suggestions & ideas:

1: Give choppers more HP, but still easy to lose control(or lose power, engine flameout) when being hit. More HP keep chopper "alive" when it crash on the gound, but when vertical speed is too high, the crashing is fatal. Thus, like bailout in high altitude, pilots now have a chance to survive in low altitide----being skilled in crash landing.

2: Please give a pistol & a knife to pilots:
1-knife
2-pistol (better with silencer)
3-unarmed
5-red smoke
8-field dressing
"Pistol---Pilots" look at these 2 words :)

3: Empty choppers automatically lose HP.

4: Wreckage of vehicles stay for 10-20mins, when it disappear, new one appears in base after another 10mins.(You may adjust the timing) That gives a new job to engineers----destroy wreckages with C4.
To rescue pilots and clean crash site, players can form a rescue team with one engineer.

Welcome to the forums

Your suggestion for helicopters has been suggested many times and has been looked into, a quick search will show you a recent thread.

I second the idea of pilots having a pistol but unfortunately pistols were removed to stop smacktarded pilots from fighting over assets on the runway.

This mod isn't always made for people that want to play the game properly, certain things are done to prevent people from being idiots.

1: More HP for crash landings, and survival.

I think the Devs have this covered for the next release. :) Crash landings where the crew can survive should be possible in .866. <- If this is a secret, don't unleash the mods on me. D:

2: Arm pilots with knife and pistol.

Previously, pilots had these two weapons, and sometimes it was abused on maps where helicopter's could paradrop them over the enemy lines. These soldiers of the sky would knife any undefended firebases with ease.

Any opposition with their back turned could be pistoled to death, due to the weapon's strength and ability (although, the pistol may not have been as tough back then).

3: Empty choppers auto drain its HP.

I think there's a time limit for when a chopper is left out of the range of its spawnpoint that will cause it to explode and die so it may respawn back at the helipad already. It takes time so it won't instantly return to that team, due to possible negligence from the team or pilot.

Smeg hit the spot precisely.

Also the pilot would bail out of their planes and choppers and join the fight as ultimate leet players instead of seeking to go back to the airbase somehow. So removing the gun FORCES them to go back to the airbase.
