AH-1 pilot at a disadvantage

I think this mod is great. I love the enhanced gameplay!
But.. there is one quirky issue - being the pilot of a Ah-1 cobra!
Since you cant turn the internal cockpit view off and just view the HUD anymore, AH-1 pilots are stuck looking at the back of their gunner's heads.
Now these heads take up a hefty portion of the pilots vision and make flying very very difficult, and lining up shots even more difficult, because you cant see the target youre suppose to be lined up to.
Moreover, this is a blance issue too, because the Mi-28 doesnt have this problem. The gunner is seated way under the pilot and does not obstruct his view on that chopper.
Could we get a fix for this?

Well i'd like more bias towards the MEc and PLA for as it stands they are severely disadvantaged on the battlefield.

Yeah, but dont you think blocking out half the vision of the cobra pilot is a bit overkill? Seriously, I kept slamming in to the ground and buildings.

It' not that hard. Just keep some decent height. Im able to manage just fine.

I have never flown using the views beside the on with in the cockpit with the copilot in front of me and I am a pretty good pilot.

I have also never flown with any other view other than the cockpit view and its never really bothered my, the altitude meter does serve a purpous and it always works for me. You also tend to get the feal of where everything is after a while anyway.

I think this comes down to your situational awareness while playing a game - whether you know how big your vehicle is, its ability to fly, gunner views, flying past something and knowing its location behind you, hearing sounds and knowing where they are, stuff like that.

I think its more easy to actually see how big your chopper is

plus its good looking when the co-pilot is moving hes head

I aggree with the posters above. Flying with only the cockpit view is not a problem. What IS a problem is the fact that I keep getting shot down...

I can zip under bridges land on the ledge in the welldeck on the carrier. (where you get to the boats or LAVs)
My point is, just keep at it and you'll eventually get used to it.

as some one probably once said practice makes perfect-what is the point in learning to do somthing if it takes no skill at all??

No. Not everything in war is balanced. This mod is about REALITY, project REALITY.
Skill and perseverance would make mec and PLA win over sheer technology.

Just so you know, project REALITY is for BATTLEFIELD 2 and BATTLEFIELD 2 is a GAME and GAMES by definition are for ENTERTAINMENT no matter what their objective is so in this case I think ENTERTAINMENT takes precidence over REALITY because NOBODY likes to LOSE because some fool wanted REALISM over FUN.

In RL the MEC would not be in a force together - many nations hate each other as much as they hate America. Furthermore - an organised force? come on!
Whatr you would have in Oman is 4,000,000 Jihaders with AKs - so shall we set the tickets like that......

I for one think its a great view.. heres why.
I depend on my gunner for where the threat is and pay great attention to where they are focused. Just my experience. In a way the gunner is my HAT controls, seeing how i use a flightstick.

I like the way it is in the mod. No external views or invisible cockpits! Please keep as is.

agreed i think invisible cockpits would kill it as people who fly jets in 3rd person to see where their tailer is it totaly ruins it because normally pilots have no idea where they are they just gotta get em of thier tail using quick wit not a magical floating camera
question..

did they remove the mouse-look..? I use that a lot and it would be **** if it was removed, and not one bit realistic..
others than that I think it's the vBF2 that sucks in this case.. there should never have been "no-cockpit" or 3'rd person views.. that's just to satisfy the 10 year old's and below..
How much easier are bombing-runs when you can line up targets all the way in..?
things like that are what's causing the tremendous "whoring" going on in vBF2, it takes NO skill to master things = kids (that have no feel for team or not base-raping) can dominate the game..
serious players that would never dream of removing the cockpit, for the sake of realism, get disadvantages.. and that sucks, but is evidence of DICE's total lack of respect for the generation that made them, people that bought their original titles (not just BF1942)..
it's like when George Lucas made episode I, II and III total freaking baby versions.. (not that II and III were that bad, but considering his "real" audience is now 25+.. he could have left out Jar-Jar, WTF!!?)
well that was WAY off topic.. he he..
