future combat systems mode

before you move this post, can i strongly suggest that u remove the 25 min post limit to suggest something.
My suggestion is to create a digital battlefield mode for project reality. As you know, the battlefield is becoming more sophisticated as we speak, with war becoming more of a matter of computer programming than actual "spray & pray".
I propose a digital battlefield mode that can be enabled or disabled at the preference of each server. The digital battlefield mode (from now on DBM) will entail the following things:
-Return of the minimap.
*unlike the old bf2 minimap, the map would only show friendlies within about 200 meters of the soldier. Enemies would not appear, unless spotted by commander, officer, sniper or any other kit you guys want to put in there.
* The minimap would be more like a GPS unit than a enemy/friendly locator, thus it would take about 3 seconds to update, simulating satellite delay.
-Limited UAV support. The UAV would have a scan time of about 5 min, could only be requested every 30 min, and would only show enemy's that are not in bunkers or buildings (a.k.a could be seen by real UAV).
-Failure mode.
*If the soldier was critically wounded, the minimap would not work. This simulates the inability to read it when wounded.
*If the unit was hit by enemy fire, the minimap screen would fizzle out on the players screen.
This would be server optional and be realistic, as the minimap would work almost exclusively as a GPS unit. UAV's are used for almost every battler in Afghanistan thus far.
Take my idea seriously - it's time to join the 21'st century, digital battlefield!
