I allways see that pr is hard to update somtimes it will take all day to update but steam can offer better and quicker updates i dont know how to get a game on steam but it couldent be that hard i mean u have 200.000 pounds a month i bet you would get more if you put pr on steam steam is used by maney gamers im not saying you would have to start paying for pr that would just be lame but i love pr and illd love it more if it was on steam

This would need PR to have bought rights to the retractor engine? correct?

Well Steam hosts some free mods (Insurgency for example), but they're mostly based on the source engine.

Unless BF2 was sold on Steam I don't think this would happen.

A guy in my friend list on steam played PR via it, when I asked him how he said it was a secret... lol

[Ideas]PR Future Engine Ideas and Suggestions Thread

Top of this forum. Steam, the source engine and retractor engine are all open for discussion in that thread.

And this won't happen. It would most likely mean having to pay for the privilige and as this mod is virtually unfunded apart from £200 a month it is extremely unlikely.

No, you should use the appropriate thread which in this case is stickied for your convenience.

This is the reason for the mods locking many threads because people fail to use the existing thread for their topic which has already been discussed in many cases. It also helps to keep everything in one place so we can keep the forums tidy.

By the way, in some countries people gain a money for sale PR mod on CD.

Lolz at dude above me.

Yeah I don't see PR as a MOD going into Steam clearly because as stated before, BF2 is Not sold off of Steam.

Plus I despise Steam :-P

To be fair to the guy, he doesn't suggest that PR move engine, which is what that thread is about. He is suggesting that it stays on BF2 and is launched and update through steam.

The problems pointed out remain though.

Isn't that just just the 'add a non-steam game to my games list' feature?

Yeah I didn't know about it before, but as long as I can use the steam chat in game I'm happy.

Steam sucks, I had to install it and use it because some of the newer games I bought required it. Like Empire: Total War. My game keep crashing and I believe it has to do with steam for the simple fact that for a entire month I had no problems with it and than all of a sudden it just continously crashes whenever I attempt to play more than 5 minutes on a campaign.

Also updates are no where near fast on steam. It's only upside regarding patches is that it notifies you a new patch is available and sais if you want to auto-download and install it. Apart from that the download and install time is not faster.

@ Spaz
How'd you add PR into Steam-list? I tried but I couldn't figure it out entirely =S

Oh gawd not Steam.

Hate that slow, bloated piece of **** enough having to deal with it for TF2 and EmpireTW if I get it.

I would hate to see it gain any more power, ok fine for hosting multiplayer stuff, but the amount of rubbish on there now is unbelievable.

Talking about slow download speeds? I get over 2 MB (megabyte, not bit) per second downloading updates, so you won't hear me complaining :D .
