Trip flares - Give them back to snipers

I have searched and found nothing. I have never seen a specialist use a trip flare, they do not need trip flares as they are never really in the same spot for long.
Snipers on the other hand are at risk of being knifed or ambused whilst in posistion/ looking through scope, give the sniper kit trip flares.

specialists don't need trip flares !?
Oh yes they do ! If a squad is defending a postion having a specialist place trip flares on access points will give early warning of any approach.
Snipers on the other hand should by far away enough that having an enemy arrive behind you is not a possibility. If you get flanked as a sniper then you're dooing it wrong.

Since when a trip flare protects your flank better than a spoter?
If you dont have a spoter then you dont need trip flares. You need an other kit.
Because this one you use it wrong....

One question:
Do snipers from conventional forces use trip flares in real life?

Another question, where is your spotter?
If the answer to this question was i dont work with one, then your are extremley using a valuable kit wrong.
Now to give some helpful feedback, a trip flare would be needed with the specialist kit because if your defending a position and dont have enough man power to cover all exits you need the flare to be an early warning. If it was limited to the 2 sniper kits then you would be at a serious disadvantage, another reason its good with the specialist kit is that it is so avaiable to your squad. Also a sniper using a trip flare would just tell everyone in the area his position and if a squad just walked into it, would know there is a sniper nearby.

I like to use a rifleman specialist as my spotter/protector, he brings such kit to the battle for me cuz I'm lazy and I have the bigger....gun.

Snipers do have trip flares IRL but anway you can never be sure if there are enemys around snipers behind enemy lines you always just have to make sure.

Tbh, trip flares are so desperately pointless I never trust them, i prefer a human watching rather than some flashy sparky squirty out thing.

Trip flares are only really used as early warning systems.. thats about it. So if someone is walking up the stairs, your not suprised if you heard a trip flare go off 3 seconds before

This^
Spotter should always be a Specialist to lay trip flares that's kinda why he has em.
I hate seeing a sniper team with a spotter using a Scope to shot with the sniper and they both get knifed.

i saw a specialist use a trip flare successfully for the first time last night on fallujah. my entire squad was in a building and our specialist put the trip flare in the stairwell on the first floor.
after a few minutes, we heard the thing go off and a few seconds later a terrorist was full of holes. it's was VERY effective and i will be using those more from now on.
i wish i could remember the guy's name who did it. it was very well done.

i still think a sniper would make more use out of them

Only on urban maps do you NEED a spotter, which should be a specialist. He's go some tripflares and the grappling hook, which are very useful in an urban environment. In large maps like Kashan, spotters aren't necessary.

I would highly disagree with that, more times then not it was a large environment map that I have sneak up behind a sniper that was not paying attention or didnt have a spotter.
Basically Pure_beef is you shouldnt need the trip flares if you play the way a sniper is thought about. As a sniper you should always be in a buddie system with a spotter. And that players main responsibility is to keep a 360 while you engage targets.

The trip flares were useless you couldn't even hear them being tripped off which made them useless since they don't give off lots of light and smoke.

Trip Flares are always useless. 9/10 friendlies or no one will trip them. 1/10 someone very obvious will trip it(thus removing the need of a trip flare)
I'd rather have them for snipers then any other class. When and why would you use a trip flare? Except for a sniper that wants to cover the only exit to his roof?

I have to agree with him. I have never seen trip flares used successfully against ENEMIES. It actually pisses me off quite often if I've set a trip flare in a good spot and then comes the careless mister friendly and trips it off.
Either give the trip flares to snipers or remove them completely. It's quite useless tool for combat engineers, UNLESS they're spotters, but since when did you develop the game around the sniper kit?
