Night fight

Why there is no night map in PR.
It seems to me that most attacks go at night. Is there any limitations?
Or at least low light operations would be great
Sorry, did not notice it is in PRSP. It is a general sugestion. Please move this topic if possible.

If you use the search function, you'll find many threads discussing night maps and their problems in the BF2 engine.
due to gameplay problems and the resource hungry nature of these maps we will not be seeing them again in an offical PR release. This has been confirmed by the DEVs in previous threads.

There use to be one or two in the early releases mostly based on modded vBF2 maps however they never looked too good really, it always was a case of there being a minimum light level everywhere with no realistic depth of shadow in BF2. I also believe there was a shader issue preventing true darkness based maps where you would have to optimise before every night time map which would be a pain, however I don't know if that has been resolved now. Then there is the whole NVG usage thing as just about all inventory slots have been assigned and or balancing issues vs insugents etc.
