I must admit sniper's gillie really felt out of place most of the time and the gun sound were annoying. Good work on all updates.

when i played pr back in .4 .5 i used to think how far removed from vanilla it was. now, i think about how far pr has come from back in the earlier versions. .5 was before things like the 4km maps, scoped weapons, i think deviation, the new gun sounds {the far away sounds that rock} i have to say one thing i miss though was the more underground nature of the mod back then. there were fewer servers, and fewer players but i felt like most of the players were way more serious and teamplay oriented. some of my best rounds were on the devfile 24/7 basrah server back in .5 i do welcome the expansion the mod has seen, with many more servers and players, and i do like it better that way but with it has come alot more idiots. but thats just the nature of playing on public servers.

Wow, I've only been playing PR since 0.85, and OP's video was an awesome demo of how much htings have changed. PR is definitely on the right track.

I'd love to play some of the old maps
that is PRs only weakness, lack of maps.

Really? All they do is stay on that roof forever... but if it got you to try PR... all the power to it.
And regarding maps... most of them have been outgrown by the assets the mod has now and the developed gameplay. For example, Ejod Desert as it is in 0.85 is nearly broken. If the U.S. cant get a foothold in the city and have experienced TOW hummer and HAT users, the round is guaranteed to end badly for the U.S. But, more maps are always in the works, including quite a few 4 km maps!
The differences for the most part have been great for the progression of the mod and provide a very unique FPS shooter experience like the original vBF2 offered. Just in a different way...

no because its more hollywood than real life. i guess when you get shot in real life, it doesnt look like a explosion of blood. so thats why they removed it.

It was probably because everyone had a mic and were working together.

That's not the point in this case, the point is teamplay - they were working together.

I don't think Welshboy and Outlawz have had a proper vBF2 experience....
It still amazes me how far the mod has progressed in a relatively short period of time. I just hope the DEVs remain hungry in improving it further until PR2...

Dev Team is ready, but some community members will be kicking and screaming the whole way through ANY changes it seems
