death dome on Fallujah

My one suggestion
Can you make it bigger around the USMC base? Because everytime I play the insurgnts can just really camp the hell out of the entrances to the base and it can make level really not workable.

and they can do just the same to any other Coalition base as well, what makes Fallujah so special?

You've obviously not played against the US much on Fallujah then, it's obvious what the OP is on about.
Although, I hate domes of death, I understand their necessity.

Fallujah has a major camping issue.
Its got alot of exploits to be honest.
Two mines on both entrances, and 13 IEDS can be found on US base at any time. Not to mention snipers get sniped back from the H shaped building with a shotgun across the street, lol.
Insurgents get a dome of death on that map... as should US... at least to rid the mines DIRECTLY on the front entrances....
And dont go about how the US should be responsible to defend their base, because weve done that on many occasions, and it took pretty much 2 entire squads to cover both entrances. Thats just too many units off the battlefield...

Oh yes, i agree with you both Smeg and ralfidude

why defend both exits. You only need one to get out
One dude with a hmmv can defend it on his own

If the dome of death was increased in size to accomdate that it would have to be increased quite a bit. Increasing it just beyond the gates an insurg could still run within the dod and place the mine before running out, at the most suffering from bleeding. Keep your combat enineers inside the base and have infantry clear the entrance at intervals. Yes camping is an issue but same goes tot he fact that every other map which have choppers also have the same 'problem' getting shot at by technicals as they try to land/take off.

Well elvish, if u mean a map like... err, Karbala, the devs have moved the base off to the north east now and a dome of death has been increased...
So.... only question to ask is this. Since i dontknow exactly how the dome of death is done, would it be possible to keep the dome of death thats on the base now, and put in two smaller domes of death on each exit, big enough to dissalow any insurgents on foot?
Because its my belief dome of deaths are created with circles and not custom shapes. Otherwise, make a custom shape one to fit the two exits.
By the way alexus, sometimes it works with one squad, sometimes it doesnt. Fact is, suicide bomb vehicles enter through other gate if its not defended. One squad is sometimes able to fend them off, but you always have a dedicated insurgent squad, or two at times to camp the base, with a spawn point on the top right corner.
It is easy to take it out, but it takes men off of the guard post to the gates, exposing it to more spawn rape.
Its just a messy situation to be honest, id like to see if any devs have any comments on this since we won the argument with Karbala.

Yes, I agreed with the whole Karbala issue, wheres a dedicated squad of two could easily cover the entrances to the 'old' entrance they could not stop technicals and such from camping behind.
Fallujah pretty much like clockwork has mines placed at the North and is rarely defended wheres there is usually action at the west. The dod as far as I understand is not limited to a circle as ive been told, not done this myself but on Fools Road if you go to the river to the West of the bridge to the Russian main you can cross it fairly close, *not talking about the flag area* wheres you can only make it to a few feet from the edge of the bridge itself on the road.

The dome at Fallujah is fine as it is. You guys need to try a different approach if you are getting killed by ambushing insurgents at the gates. Can’t comment on Karbala as I rarely spawn in the main . We will see even more insurgent “nerfing” in the next patch so wait and see, maybe it won’t be that bad . Anyway, in my opinion ambushing the main gate is a valid tactic that can be easily countered by a small base defense squad. Get organized, adapt and overcome.

Lol, killer, the concept of defense has been discussed and is a problem in itself on fallujah mate, check what we wrote mate.

I've never had bad experience with mines etc outside fallujah main, i find if you can get the APCs out fast the insurgents will be after them not the base, par 1 or 2 smart ones who realise IED + fully loaded humvee = fun times!

Its Insurgency, dont you believe they deserve that possibility! the marines have bigger guns, armor, jeeps and sniper on the roof to take them out. And if they do place a mine or something to block the entry just send in a combat engineer, and if your not able do this, you dont deserve to win.

Very true.
If I ever play commander on fallujah I place 2 snipers on the building roof to take out and enemies approaching the base. easy as that.

OK problems.
2 noob took the sniper 1337 kits and lost them to the insurgents before you got to the box
1 noob lost both engineer kits trying to build a fob by him self.
now the insurgents have both of theses limited kits and will do everything to pick them up if the insurgent with the kit is killed.
what now? its not the full teams fault that theses 3 noobs took the teams needed tools to defend the base from inf and mines?
the point of the story?
The Rifleman specialist should be able to remove 1 landmine then need to resupply to remove another one.

Agreed with Travis.
And please, read previous entries from start of thread because what you guys have said here was discussed.
Combat engineers get BLOWN up when they step foot outside of base due to the 13 IEDs placed....
And the trigger man is nowhere in sight.
Idiot get the sniper kits, and they go to the H shaped building 90% of the time. When this happens, they get sniped back across the street by shotguns and motoloved from the ground below them. So there goes ur sniper support.
Usually the sniper learns that all he can do is position himself in such a spot that hes able to snipe without being in harms way, but that limits him to only sniping things far away, and not help to look for sappers at base. And god forbid he brings the sniper kit outside... oh boy... hes going to have 14 insurgents looking for him right away, at least most of the time.
So as its been stated before, you would need to cover BOTH entrances. You need only one. But, if they dont mine the other exit and just IED it, and you chose not to look after that exit, their suicide vehicle will come in and show you it means business. Also the typical entrance of a bike with sappers and IEDS come into base too, seen that before, and its quite successful.
I think its much more appropriate if i can find battlerecorded game files of fallujah, and il compose a video of many matches and how they usually turn out in the main base.
I think its also good to note that this doesnt happen 100% of the time. Different players will do different tactics. But for much of the most part, this is to be true.
PS: Anybody can give me a list of servers that have battlerecorder on?

To those who think this is wining don't get the point.
In order for the US to win you can't be wasting units defending the base. Every squad should be out there looking for caches and working together to keep your tickets alive.
Also, the base itself shouldn't need defending, because no insurgent in real life would dare get that close. Its understood that to get that close would mean instant death. in PR we don't have an equal # of units inside the base defending it, we need them all outside looking for caches.
Also, you can place unlimited amounts of IEDs on the entrances now, making all assets impossible to use. The second you drive out, BAM, your dead. If the dome was bigger at least the IED guy would bleed out before he had a chance to detonate his bomb.
and no, an engineer going out there and taking out mines is not as simple as it sounds. If you have 4 insurgent squads watching the entrances, an engineer out there exposed would never get anything done.

yep agreed the snipers are not smart 90% of the time they cant shoot standing up they need to lay down to kill a target and this is a nono on this map.
I sniper from the last in closed floor and take my time slowly taking out any troops and moving from window to window.
I am sure only about 12 people in this mod can truly use the sniper kit with ralfidude being one and me as well. (source you can watch both of are sniper training videos.)
All they need to do to fix this problem is widen the gates to be 3 to 4x as big as they are atm and put better anti inf wire to block insurgent inf.
this way defends team gets more time to kill the inf trying to camp the gate and 1 to 2 land mines cant block armor from going throw the gate.
the H building needs to be lifted up about 6% so a apc and go under the Under pass and move the repair station under the H building this would allow a repairing apc time to watch the only way to him with time to react and kill the bomb car.
then we will need to pull the us inf spawn point in so people do not spawn into a Molov thrown over the wall and right where people spawn.
with the gate being bigger and more anti inf wire and the repair station in a better spot the US base will become allot harder to camp.

The Battle Arena may still keep the videos of every round.

Then you must have not played Fallujah enough.
Realistically, there are hundreds of personal in an outpost or a base, so an insurgent getting in there is just laughable. Of course there are isolated insodents, but in real life, there is gate guard and security detail who are assigned to post. With only 32 players per side, there simply isn't enough people to defend the main.
The US needs all the squads it can get to attack too. So having even 1 squad stay back to defend is rediculas.
And to whoever said "just have one person wait at the gate with a humvee", I would like to see you wait there all game. Its easy to tell someone else to do it, but the person who says to usually never does it himself.
