[Proposal] Roleplaying gamemode

I based it on this thread, and experience of mine:

I had an amazing round on PR training with around 18 people roleplaying on kashan.
Im wanting to make a roleplaying community mod for PR,
i would like to know if the devs are ok with this, and would give me green light on it
and hopefully some people could help me with it?
Most of the beginning stuff is reskinning really.

wel anyway heres my spreadsheet about kits and vehicles:

We first need 2 roleplaying factions up, relying on placeholders and reskins in the beginning
Get all kits sorted, and thinking of proper gamemodes like Police vs Robbers and Gangsters

I could use all help i could get, for now i need the help of coders, skinners and people that can adjust kits and settup 2 factions, im still in the learning progress. :o ops:
(i can map though, but trying to learn more)

Pretty sure that it was discussed because people wanted to make maps with the Armored Fury Package. They didn't want to go too indepth but if they get you the good to go make sure i get spinners on that low rider

This shouldn't be a gamemode, lol, simply rules on a server ;) .

I dont see how an RPG will work with PR....
also the design plan didnt work for me so i didnt check that out

I know but for my idea its kinda dead but also abit different, and this goes further than just rules..
Police cars, nicer civilian vehicles (wich also PR itself could use), it would be more like some kind of new faction.
With different objectives kinda..

Who would ever play as ambulance crew? A limited kit with no weapons...

They would serve as a medic :razz:
If officers get shot or something or the Criminals, the ambulance crew would drive up with their ambulance and start healing people :)

Me! what if i want to epipen ur *** :P

I like the idea i do infact i love it and i was in full support of the last one that toke off and burnt back down.... maybe contact "Jonny" and see if he still has any of the work he did on the server side one left...

Also would this not just turn into everyone running to get the SWAT kits?

No since it would be limited ;)
And being the bad boy is also quite fun!

Well, we just need to get stuff done like kits and skins and i think mess around abit with the characters, like giving gangsters ragheads and stuff.
Than i think it would be time to ask if a modeler would be able to help us with things like civilian cars, police cars and youre doom ram :razz: ...


Ive also have sended Jonny a PM, should get an answer by the end of the week i guess :)

I know my spreadsheat isnt tottally structured i was about to do that.
Ill try and answer the questions:

1.
Theirs 2 teams:
Team 1 will consist of:
Police Officers
Doctors
Mechanics
Unarmed civilians
Green gang

Team 2 will consist of:
Mechanics
News personal
Armed civilians
Red gang
Wanted Criminals

Team 1 and 2 will be fighting against eachother, to get their tickets to a minimum.
Team 1 will try and get the gangs and the drugs of the street while team 2 will try and deal trucks and commit crimes

Team 1 will try and run patrols and keep the streets clear off dealing people and crimes
While team 2 will try and commit crimes, and with that getting the team 1 tickets lower.
bit like extraction mode and insurgency, for example shipping drugs by car, or robbing banks, like caches within a bank building that looks like a safe, and much more things are possible i think, like maybe a person could plant a bomb somewhere like on a cache, and then the police has to disarm it with a bomb squad and if team 2 will perform crimes effectivly the other team will lose tickets each crime..
Team 1 will, if team 2 will attack on of those caches or a civilian spotted them doing something wrong, get a sign that a crime is going on, and then send police cars or something to it to try and solve it and arrest people, if not they get ticket loss.

Team 1 will have rules of engagement, and are not allowed to shoot someone without a reason (works kinda similiar to the civlian kit in 0.85) they are allowed to arrest people if they see them dealing or carrying guns or even fireing at them.
(i think its allready like that with the civilian kit if he has a medic bag or epipen out, you can shoot him?)

The media will also play a role, they will like be the ''scouts'' from the police just like unarmed civilians.
Unarmed civilians can play the role of spotters too, but also as hostage.
And the mechanics will be on both teams and able to repair vehicles from their team.

For now i think mainly kits and coding and map adjustments to test stuff on,
though i think to ask permission of a dev if we can use one of the PR maps as test map?
well just use placeholders instead for vehicles and weapons and such.

What do you think?, i might edit this post later if i might see some faults im getting dinner real quik :)

You might aswell make it as a Civialians Life mode...everyones a civy except for a couple of soldiers, some random terrorists, mobs and organised criminals. Just place enough pickup kits for all the non civy classes (and code it so that civies dont get killed for picking em)

Sounds nice, im thinking of that pickup kits.
For the police team everyone could spawn civilian, doctor or police officer
and then start requesting kits, like police officers can request shotguns out of the trunks of the police car or request SWAT kits from the police department and civilians can request gangster kits or mechanic kits from a hood or garage


For criminal team everyone could just spawn civie (depending wich team)
And go to a gunshop and request a gangster kit or criminal, to a news station for the news reporter kit, to garage for the mechanic kit

One thing: Limit the ammunition! Extremely! Not more than 2 or 3 mags for non-soldiers, so people don't end up shooting around for no reason. If most people are civilians, not much ammo will be needed for criminals and cops and such anyway.
