Hi all,

It's been about 8 months since I last played Project Reality. I think the last version I played was .64. Anyway, in this time, what happened to my favorite map?

awww.. 8 months ago? i think 0.85 came out a while after that so theres no way u played 0.64

Its about to be raped with next version,theyll add an attack huey.

The map was already balanced as it were.

yeah, i didn't feel that addition. huey with a automatic rifleman on the side already wreaks havoc against mec soldiers on hills, and mec with apcs counter it nicely.

The Attack Huey is rubbish against armoured vehicles on Jabal lol, I highly doubt they will be much of a problem.

Thanks for the replies. I had a few typos with the numbers and the version. Either way, it's been way to long since I last played. I'll set up my search parameters differently and look for Jabal Al Burj.

Who said anything about attacking an APC,what about blowing bridges,destroying FBs,stopping an infantry only attack on east beach/west beach,clearing hills.Not to mention,USMC has more and better armored APCs at their disposal.

I even get to kill 3-4 guys if there is nothing to do,with my transport huey on an average,just by overrunning them.Imagine the attack huey.

It'll be same just like barracuda.Decent pilots will score gigantic kills(50-60),without any opposition or threat.Infact it'll be even more easier than barracuda since the map is bigger than barracuda,so there wont be any overlapping AA coverage for MEC and there are more terrain coverage than barracuda to evade any AAs.Really i dont remember getting shot down by AA on that map maybe for almost 6 months.

My only hope remaining is that they only add 1 one of them.

There probably is only one, to be honest it's different to barracuda cos barracuda is an island and jabal isn't, choppers can only come in from one direction so there's plenty of AA coverage especially if you include APCs in that. To be honest when you think of how many games the US get pretty much instantly pushed back to the coastline this isn't really such a bad idea, should help balance out the rock hard defences the MEC can get up.

Jabal is a great map flying transport,
Also for MEC i love being sniper and attacking the Beaches as the choppers land its bloody great

Nah when choppers land you want the HAT kit, you need to wait till the passengers are just out and think they are safe then boom goes both the helicopter and the squad.
