I know the Chinook is in development in PR, and im excited. Its too bad that the CH46 cant be made, but a chinook in PR or anything like it would be impressive.
I wonder what the Chinook will have and be like. Would it have 2 supply crates?
Would you be able to just walk in the chinook for quick extract (if your too lazy to press the enter vehicle button ) ? What weapon would it have (Mark 19 [probably not] or minigun?). How fast will it go? As fast as the Lynx? Im not asking the admins in the PR community, but just what forum people think or wish for when the chinook is finally complete. Let me hear all other peoples ideas for what they imagine. This is just simple asking for other peoples ideas and hopes, not suggesting or anything wanting a sneak peak . No matter what the development team makes the chinook into, im still gona try to fly it like the chinook pilot in CoD4 (yes i know they are CH46's in CoD4, but why not fly like them anyways?)

I good idea to chinook is to add the entrance place only inside the helicopter, so, if the soldier wants to seat down they must walk inside that.

If that's possible it would look awesome in the field.

Now that would be sweet! I havn't played the British/Chinese PR Training map too much to know how the big transport chopper for the british works (yes i dont know the name, im such a noob ). Can you walk in the passenger compartment of that chopper and not need to sit down without falling out of the chopper, or do you have to sit?

Hopefully it will be like the merlin used to be so many versions ago where you could walk and shoot from the backdoor.
I hear in real life they go even faster than the UH64 Apache's.

Two chinooks, one that carries a couple of supply crates, then one other that can take two squads ontop of pilot and tail gunner. That would be perfect for a Brit Afghan mission.
Oh the exploitation.... I can see it already. One rover for every man... or a mountain of rovers inside the base... rovers bombing runs...

Maybe the pilot can choose what to drop while on the helipad by pressing F? Maybe the pilot could choose between a rover, a crate, or maybe something else? I don't know exactly what it could hold, but I remember in BF:V, you could drop a rope to connect a light vehicle to a huey and use that to quickly transport light vehicles (NOT MBT's). Maybe they did that...?
Anyway, a Mark 19 would be nice, along with a copilot position. The copilot could lower the back-door. You shouldn't be able to walk out without the door down (assuming they could make it so the enter part is in the inside)

I think the rope idea is a great idea. I can't count how many times I have been in a vehicle and needed a way to bypass some rough terrain. To hook it up to the chinook and fly it around would be very neat.

This is not possible with the engine.

Good old EA decided to go BACKWARDS with the engine instead of forward.....
More than 8 players in a vehicle: Hardcoded, and even if it wasn't, carrying the whole team in a single vehicle is a very, very bad idea. PR works on a scale - just imagine that the 32 players you are with is a very limited representation of a large fighting force. Hence, everything must be scaled down to fit with this player limit.
If I ever win the lottery I'll buy the Refractor engine for the DEV team...but until then....keep in mind that if it is a really, really cool idea you have for a vehicle, it's probably impossible, courtesy of your pals - DICE

Its a shame, EA took a leap backwards in some cases.
Transport lifting made BF:V so much better, I found some rounds it was similar to a PR Transport Helo squad, where you had the same good pilots brining in supply spawn boxes and airlifting light tanks to the front line. Good times
Althought even if this was possible, the tank here is a M551 Sheridan made of aluminum, you could hardly air lift an Abrams or CR2

I hope the chinook's survivability isn't too low.
I wouldn't mind the chinook being penetrable to certain ammunition from the sections not covered by kevlar, but I'd not like it to fall out of the sky unless specific engines etc were hit. (unless the pilot buys it ofc)

Is the Chinook replacing Merlins on all merlin maps?
