The MP5 - Dev's well done

I have been using this weapon from the MEC crewman kit recently on city maps, or in built up areas and I have to say, for the first time in any game i have played, you have done this weapon justice. Its great at close quarters, in other games you would choose an assault rifle simply because it can do the sub machine guns job better, in real life you would choose the Sub at close range because of the rate of fire and handling.
On this game, it destroys anyone who has not got a good posistion on you.

Never change this weapon and keep it in the game, please. Also maybe you could implement it onto other teams kits?

In real life militaries can't afford to have 2 sets of weapons simply so their standard infantries can have a nicer handling weapon in some urban situations. Picking up the crewman kit for the sake of having the MP5 isn't really what it's intended for, it's really just so crews can defend themselves if they have to bail.

I must admit i do hate when you see a squad of crew man just running around just MP5ing everyone in the face. But its an effective tactic that wins.

Any time im on Muttrah or Asad I use MP5.

Now both G3 and MP5 is really cheap and a military advisor would possibly equip someone with MP5 on maps like muttrah when the whole army is using CQB clumsy G3.

I don't see why all the factions get assault rifle carbines for their crewmans while the MEC have a shorter ranged MP5 sub machine gun in the first place. I think they should get the HK53A3, already a model, or the G3KA4 G3 Carbine(just to keep the MEC weapons more uniformed).

Im glad some one agrees with me, it not over powered and it very beautifully balanced.

i also agree that it needs to be included in a few other kits, Id wounder if it would be a good idea to put it in the medic kit for the MEC, the medic would benefit with being able to project more hurt down at the enemy in order to keep there heads down and protect them self's a bit better, i agree also it should be the squads job to protect the medic, but with amount of new player coming into the game getting into a squad of vet's who will protect you is very difficult now day's.

I like that pr is become more popular but what bothers me is the attitude of the people who come form BF2 thinking PR is BF2 except with scoped Weapons.

of course i only suggest this for defensive actions, i like every one in PR don't won't the medic kit to became a Rambo kit or some thing like that

love the MP5. Very effective weapon at close quarters. I dont see the problem in people getting the kit just for the gun. What ever works for the individual soldier i suppose.

huh???

The only thing on Mp5 in the 0.86 changelog is that it's movement deviation was fixed.

I think if you keep talking about it, devs will remove it and make crewman weaponless just like pilots. I gotta admit I wouldn't disagree since those mp5 crewman fighting as infantry are kinda annoying to me (funny but annoying) and it happen a lot more than pilot "raid" ever did when they did had guns.

Not going to happen, as crewmen always have a gun with them.

I think it's OK to give pistol back to pilots. M9 is pretty useless nowadays.

Haha no Redlalert it really isnt. In CQB it is a beast, takes 3 shots to take down someone and is very fast to fire so you have them rounds in that person before they can shoot.

what's the british crewman kit in game? i seem to remember its mp5 also, altho i think it's the L22A1 irl

would be a nice addition at some point (not to nit pick tho, you guys do an amazing job):

Currently in game its just a standard L85 irons. The Devs have said continually that they are fully aware of the L22 and there is a model lying around somewhere but its a low priority.

Back in the 0.8, when deviation was crazy and nobody could hit anything M9 was great. Now I can't kill one insurgent even with 5 shots. Instead, he kills me with two.

Why would they take it out? I think a big problem we have in this game is that there are too many realism whores who are limiting the fun in PR. So what if someone wants to take the crewman kit because the MP5 is great at CQB, to me i see this game as more about tactics and teamwork than ultra realism.
