Hey All,

I just had two suggestions relating to the Humvee.

1. With and without a .50 on it. I've been reading a lot of biographies from soldiers coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan, and not all of the Humvees they use has .50's on them. Sometimes, you just can't get everything armed to the teeth.

2. Armored and Unarmored. This goes along with the .50/no .50 thing. Some Humvee's (like the one's with mounted .50s) have extra armor on them, and some don't (at least that is what I have read from those biographies).

To combine both of those ideas, I think that it would be best to have a armored Humvee with a .50 and an unarmored Humvee without a .50.

There's a 'support Humvee' that is open top too, there has been a suggestion to arm it.

He is talking about an unarmored hummwv with a 50 cal. Purhaps we can have a hummwv with an m240?

Yeah.. we already have that.

Imo remove the crappy Shield thing from the .50 its deadly. Make it balanced by making it easy to kill the guy using it Plus it's really unrealistic to have it, also but unarmored he means the m998 with out a .50 but still enclosed.

Why would gunners take out the only the protection they have to give the Taliban a "fair" chance of killing them? Honestly?

True, Would make 0 sense.

It's not their only protection, They can still crouch.

But I dont reallllllllly see why it hasn't been taken out...afaik the only humvees that have the gunner protection is the Up-Armored one.

The HUMVEE pictures you see that don't have the turret protector are either old, or have that massive ammo box that serves a dual purpose.

No, Majority of US humvees in Iraq are the uparmored version.

How about a CROWS system? Is it possible to add one of them to an up-armored HMMVW?

They have the new humvee with crows in the files but idk if it works or not.
