personally these 3rd person idle animations look stupid, unrealistic, and just a waste of space
and some of them are really stupid..like the British officer sneezing and random **** like that
do you think they should be removed?

I kind of like them. The only one that was exceptionally stupid was the knife-balancing.

The ninjalook with the knife is awesome though.

So, what would be the benefit of removing them anyways?

What's the benefit of having them now?

Well it's kinda more realistic this way? IRL soldiers don't stand still like statues you know.

could som1 state how much space they take up in the installer?
If its significant, remove them to give a little helping hand to those lads with slow internetz/dowload limits (I'm the first one)

Idd, some useless eye-candy never hurts.

Oh and i forgot to mention that they look 1337

Anyway, these anims shouldn't take much space i think, so theres really no need to remove them.

less file space = a tiiinnnyy bit less lag
its like how come some people have to play PR on lower settings every patch release? because long animations and stuff increase file size

Knife balancing was removed, and other anims are ok, i think its just few megabytes of data.. And if you have lags the solution is upgarding your system not removing stuff from the mod.

Removing animations won't add anything to 'less lag' in game or 'less space' on the installer.
It's not like you lag seeing players idling or need to download 10 Gb worth of animations right now.

its not too much for me, just for other people who have really slow DL rates, but its not just the random animations that have to be removed,to reduce file size, there are other things that need to be cleaned out of PR too

Ok these animations were added in for a reason obviously to give the soldiers more life. Its always cool to see a MEC soldier check his G3 on the troop truck to muttrah docks. It just adds that extra bit of realism, which i personally (and i think others aswell) really like.

It would be interesting to see how much space they take up, I think removing them won't really make a big difference in the size of the files you have to download.
From xfire.
Spaz: How big are the files for the "idle" animations?
[R-DEV]Rhino: dunno, probaly not big at all
Spaz: A couple of kbs?
[R-DEV]Rhino: a few kbs, looks like around 5kb each

Indeed, it's just nice to see your fellow soldiers check their weapons, that kind of stuff.
