Add G effect and make flying jets more realistic

Hello everyone,

When I play PR I either fly a jet or fly a chopper.
Choppers are great to fly in PR but jets are realy arent
I have a few suggestions that I think they work on the BF2 Engine and I will aprreciate seing them in the next PR releases.
Ok here we go:

1) Add a G Effect for flying jets (If you pitch down so quickly the screen turns black and you cant move the plane untill the screen comes back to normal)
This may seem annoying but listen to the second Idea.
2) In PR When you bank the plane will move so slow, So I am asking that banking become very good to turn the jet so it turns it the same as now when you pitch down, but without pitching down, Here is what I mean:
Watch how those jets move:
YouTube - FSX Fighter jets

If you were chasing another jets and he pitched down, he will probably turn faster than you but then the G effect will take place and he will be unable to move the plane fora few secs so then you can catch him

Thats all for now,
I think those can be done in the BF2 engine right??

Thanks,

No, I very much doubt it.

Number 2 yes, but thats pointless without number 1 really.

yeah but if we dont put #1 then no one will only bank
Then in dogfights the other jet will pitch down and turn much more faster than you so he will lose you :S
So we have to put #1 as an obstacle

Option 1 is not doable afaik option 2 is doable but no point without option 1

Yeah that was my point for #1
Anyway I thought it can be done!
Damn!
it would have been good!

GREAT IDEA G Effect would be a perfect addition... PROBLEMS though ... for once If you are using a mouse The G effect would Flash because the jets dont react correctly it would be like this..

You move ur mouse downward in a turn like 90 degree bank.. the screen would fade black then when the sensitivity stops when you move ur mouse back up to imput the next mouse movement the G effect would dissapear untill you move ur mouse back down again..... .

Only with a joystick pilot it would be a real attribute because a joystick will be constantly imputing controls
or if you fly with the Arrow keys

it would still be good :)
OH and plus
The jets Fly WAY to fast so when you reach the edge of the map you will be forced into G Effect because you are trying to get back inbounds ....... Jets are a small problem that have to be re thaught ( speed+ manoverability are issues ) and slowing down isnt that easy its either Engines on or off ... with Joystick u have a little bit of control but power still leaks up or down depending upon ur throttle setting....

So what's the issue? Hardcoded?

It's a brilliant suggestion, by the way.

Well, it just can“t happen really.

Yeah but my point is that when you bank, you turn the same as if you banked and pitched down (Exactly like we turn now, Even better )so then if you went out of bounds you wont need to pitch down.
Anyway it may be hard to do but its worth it!
Are you sure its undoable??

And yeah I think that the issue is hard coding

in real life banking an aircraft doesn't turn it (significantly) you have to ballance ailierons (sp for some stupid reason), elevator, and rudder control to perform a turn.

and you have your pitching wrong as pitching up would cause a blackout (and turn) whereas pitching down would cause a redout (and somthing very wired).

Yeah, I saw that in Flight Simulator X

Thanks for the info anyway

G and anti G effects arnt that powerfull today. Special suits and training makes it better.

If the locking controls aren't possible which i don't want anyways would it be possible to put something like the suppresion effect in when you are doing a tight sustained turn. This could help people lose a jet on their tail because the persons screen would start to have some type of effect that would make it harder to see things on your screen.

They do make it easier but no matter how good the suit was the pilot can always get higher G effect, So lets say that the suit was designed for taking 7 Gs then you may get 15Gs!
so then the suit will be nothing

Thats one point.
Now its almost impossible to lose a jet on your 6 but this way it can make it more possible

Have you ever sustained -4Gs? I don't care what suit you are wearing, it hurts!

Even with suits the G effects can be felt...especially the more extreme maneuvers. And at 15 Gs the wings would have been torn off the plane - at the very least.

YouTube - Les Chevaliers du Ciel (Sky Fighters) - Into the Fire

1:20: the plane BEHIND is doing a barrel roll much quicker than in bf2. 1:38, an other really nice manoeuver who could save your life in PR. Make jets turn faster, I'M SURE it's NOT hard coded.

I am not a pilot or something I am 14 lol
So no, I never stained -4 Gs, and it sure hurts!
