is it possible to make it so the crew would be killed inside a vihicle like an rpg hits an lav the driver gets killed or something but the lav it self is alive (and aply it to all vihicles)

It does happen sometimes. I've been killed many times in an APC where my driver would survive and vice versa. And nothing is more fun than watching a full chopper fly to its doom with a killed pilot

Yeah its true that does happen on occasion. I recently nailed a Huey with AA and it had a full squad inside, Killed the pilot and watched it fall to the ground and BOOM, they all died, earning me 6 kills. Been playing PR since 0.5 and that was a first for me.

Yup, I remember on Al bashrah I was driving the tank and we went over a brim the bomb car came from under us and blew up killed me and my gunner but the tank was still alive and well wasn't even smoking.

This also happens if you fire HEAT rounds to close to your tank and the resulting explosion harms you.

Helis are a lil different since it has openings where the pilot can take damage from. At least most of them except the Apache/Cobra/Havok/Z10. Along with that from my experience all those attack choppers windows can be penetrated by small arms fire but its rare. It is allot easier to harm the crew of a chopper in PR than a tank/apc crew as it should be.

Was in an abrams on kashan at south village, MEC transport flys over the top of me revealing a full squad in the back, machine gunned em all out ^^

50cals go through choppers

MEC APC is bugged so that 50cal and heat kill driver, that is fixed in patch

I'd like to see APCs survive more hits, but become inoperable ,

I'm not sure if the crew should get killed...

Depends how light the APC is really, if it's one that gets penetrated by small arms then I don't see why not.

Not a terrible suggestion. It'd take a fair bit of reworking the models though to allow for the penetration values, and also add an element of randomness so that the LMG doesn't become a WTFBBQPWNGUN against vehicles.

Would also be nice to add to static vehicles so that they can be used for concealment and light cover, but (aside from the engine block) don't provide total protection from incoming fire. Hide behind a car and you should get a little protection from small arms, but anything bigger should still shred you.

ive killed the guy on a hummvy 50 with an rpg, but the hummvy dosent evan smoke...

ive been killed out of a full huey and blackhalk SO MANY TIMES!

ive stoped vhicals feet infront of my by shooting out the driver

i killed the driver of that apc thing on fools road..

it happens, but not way to much

there seems to be a major issue with the sound in that video.

a couple of weeks ago on fallujah, a friendly APC was almost destroyed because a cache was blown up underneath it (the cache was in the bunkers in the southern part of the map west of the main insurgent base). the APC couldnt move at all. the APC and me were frantically calling for a log truck to come in for the repair but no trucks were coming. my squad surrounded the injured APC and held off the insurgents for about 5 minutes. eventually an insurgent got a hit with an RPG and destroyed the APC, but it was a freaking awesome situation and i would love see more stuff like that.

I say they should get wounded, so they have a chance of making it.

Im pretty sure you can't shoot through the wind screen of a Huey with any thing but a 50cal. im also Pretty sure the Front is also Impervious to small arms fire.

Though you may be right, I have a training today so i will get my clan to test this out.

I once shot a pilot out of a attack huey on operation barracuda with the PLA light machine gun.

just something to throw out there from ArmA, pilot got shot from my helo on ACE so i threw him out and took over

Once driving the LAV, my gunner got killed with a RPG attack, but the APC and myself seem not be hurt
