I played Karbala, my squad lead had a sniper kit and I was flying the LB. He comes and gets into the passenger seat and this is what I see.

Happens on Ramiel too, IIRC. But sniper co-pilots get journalist/reporter suits

happens on all maps with all littlebirds

Happens on all maps with american helos. Sniper kits get those.
