First ; We all know that Mec army needs an update.Right? So I've a some ideas for it.

Make New

-Details
-Gun Animations
-weapons
-Vehicles (light cars , h.apc etc.)
-New Vehicle Skins.
-Static objects.
-New Camo. (for urban maps)

if you want a suggestion for update , please write on here.

The BMP is the only EA model I actually like, there is a Vodnick around someplace, but I dunno what happend to it.

They got the new tank...what more vehicles they need?

yea, lets unpack their uniforms they keep for the cities, I mean...they carry 2 uniforms on them. for that purpose.

MEC is fine now in my opinion.

And BTW where's that portable nuke launcher for Chechen the Devs promised to make? I mean srsly Make it nau!

cause just look at the US faction or British.They have really big updates.But MEC have a nothing.Like a vanilla exept some little animations,vehicles etc..

Just be patient mate. It will come. The Devs have their hands full with all the other stuff that's being made.

i Would like to see the mec have an UMP, but thats wishful thinking...


nevertheless, i think a G3A4 would be nice to give them... (modify KP's AG3F2 model) for some (R41lz!) extra coolness... but this is also wishful thinkin'

it'd been cool for them to "bump up the caliber" a single step on each type of firearm, like 762 for rifles, and .45 for submachineguns and pistols, although i cant make models or texture /animate it would have been nice to have a "big caliber"-faction in PR

The MEC faction is pretty good as it is, imo. They have a nice MBT, light, medium and heavy IFV/APC´s, their weapon arsenal, uniforms and vehicle paint schemes seem good for a faction like the MEC. Animations are good enough and some will be even better with .86, no extreme need for all new. Only thing i´d say that might need an update is their attack helicopter. If any faction should get an update, i think it´d be the Chinese, although they will be getting (and have already got) some new stuff, with .86 iirc.

All animations are new (first person anyway) All factions have new animations so I don't know what you're poking at.

Logistic/transport truck
T-72
BMP-3
BRDM2
Gaskin
Eurocopter - light recon heli
BTR-60
Su-25
ZPU-4

Vanilla vehicles still in use:
Mi-8 (or is it Mi-17? I always confuse the two)
Mi-28
Mig-29
HJ-8 (the coalition still use the vanilla tripod mounted TOW)
Stationary IGLA (Coalition still uses vanilla stationary stinger)

I have probably missed something though.

They will also receive the BTR-80 once thats done.

Would be nice to see more of a focus on MEC in the next few releases, as it is they do have some original content but mainly just get the typical old Russian stuff, there is a lot of room to be creative with MEC.

Eh? They really don't need all the stuff that you suggest.

Weapons are fine. They have the G3, the LAT is new, their are some vanilla weapons, but no more or less than the GB and US factions have.

The only vanilla model for APCs and tanks is the BMP which is fine, considering the US for example have the vanilla tank and vanilla LAV with minor modifications.

Air, okay, I agree with you, however their choppers are only on Kashan i think, and same for the planes, not drastically needed.

All other armies have one camo, why do MEC get two?

The BTR-80 as mentioned will come into play as soon as it is completed IIRC.

They have a proper Vodnik which is around in the Community Mod forums somewhere.

And animations have all been re-done by Chuc.

What's wrong?

new player models would be awesome. current soldiers look a bit silly.

Uhm no, The lower one is the Z-8, a chinese produced Super Frelon (french heli).

Though you are right about the Mi-17 and not the Mi-8 is in Bf2 and PR, the Mi-8 has its tail rotor on the right side and the Mi-17 has it on the left side.
