game assets list

I'm trying to familiarize myself with the technical names of vehicles and weapons but can't find any one place that lists all of it. The guide is down at the moment as 0.86 is about to be released. Anyone have a list of everything so I can learn that instead of saying 'the MEC helicopter on Kashan' (I know.. I've been lazy)
Thanks..

Yeah there are a few times where i've gone to say the name of a vehicle, only to realize I didn't know it.
Would be much appreciated if someone could make a list that has pic's along side the names.

Exactly. Or you get into an armored vehicle with someone and he says "so you know how to operate the LAV-25" Uh, yeah sure.

It would be cool if there was some kind of Wiki...
I have the same problem, I only know what item is what by looking at the menu in game, I hope the Wiki comes back up eventually as I would sure like to know more detail than the guide provides.

What's wrong with just saying "attack helicopter" or "MECs APC"?

It’s good to know these names just in case someone else calls them out, so you know what they're talking about.
But there is no problem when you say "enemy attack chopper", enemy apc, enemy inf. enemy tank, etc... As long as people can understand u really.
FYI Zi8, I don't think that the AA is a "spawn point"
PS: you also might hear the nick names for these assests, so its just a matter of asking and getting used to it.

In the way as "oh, I think a couple of APCs are coming". Hah, no problem, we have tanks! *3 BMP3s appear".

(MEC: ) MiG, the Cow (the MEC equivalent to the BH, or the "Z-8"), Havoc, Frog/Frogfoot, Eurochopper (MEC MG LB), T90s, BRDM (do not be scared), BTR (maybe be afraid), the BTR with crazy rate of fire (piss your pants with fear);
(US: ) Bradley, Abrams, LAV, BH, F16, Apache, A10, Littlebird/LB, Huey, Attack Huey/Hydra Huey/"Super Cobra(???)", Humvee (hatchback and covered [.50 cal/TOW]), Stryker;
(Brits: ) Tornado, Eurofighter, AAV (specific?), Challenger, Scimi/Scimitar (armored recon vehicle for Brits), rover/land rover, "APC", Merlin, Lynx;
(Chinese: ) (dunno chinese tank), Tungasaka, FAV (chinese 3 seater), (for both sides, don't know these either), J10, Z10, Su, "APC";
All Conventional: Log/Logistics truck, Comm/Troop transport truck, boat/RIBB(?)
Insurgent/Taliban: Big Red, Technical, bomb car/little red, motorcycle, random vehicles in different colors.
Thats most of what I can remember for .85, although .86 will probably change it a bit.

Other common term for the techical is just "50 cal".
Don't seem to apply to other factions.

Remember that the Chinese apc name is "Wuzhuang Zhisheng 551" !
I often shout to mic : "wuzhuang zhisheng at my location !

"

I often find myself so immersed on the game that I'll actually say stuff like that. "Enemy LAV-25 at 50 degrees, somebody get the Eryx set up!"
And everybody is like... "WHAT?"

it certainly is. which is why the AA is the spawn point. by the way, try that mod its a blast.

AAV (specific?)
stormer
rover/land rover
refered to as the WMIK if its the 50cal version (weapon mounted installation kit)
"Wim-ick" is also pretty catchy.

When I call out enemy equipment, I try to be as accurate and to the point as possible, but in the shortest way possible, so as not to stop other people from also talking.
For example when spotting a little bird or huey, I also try to confirm whether it is the transport or the attack variety, as this could have a drastic effect on your squads' course of action. Usually I will want to keep an eye on the transport one so that if it lands to drop off an enemy squad, you have a better chance of ambushing them with your squad, and if it is a light attack chopper, you will want to take cover and avoid conflict unless you have AA equipment with you.
So I either say 'Attack huey' or 'Transport Huey'
I also try to state the actual name of the apc, as squad member/leader might have knowledge as to what different capabilities each apc has, which again could change the squads' next move. For example the bradley has TOW missiles whereas the LAV-25 doesn't.
